While it feels rather flimsy, and makes quite a lot of noise when working, it is a useful little thing and worth the price. No idea about it's longevity though.

I researched several drives, including the Apple drive. While most had marginal reviews this drive had the best reviews and a great price. The drive works well with my MacBook Pro and has performed flawlessly out of the box since.

It is a easy drive to use and setup. Light and doesn't take up much space in the bag.

My laptop doesn't include a cd drive, so I bought this so that I can watch a few of my workout dvds and make mixed cds for my parents (they still like listening to them in their car). It worked perfectly for me and I haven't experienced any issues. It was very easy to use, just plug into your laptop.

ok. light. easy to travel with. Should encourage LG to have laptop manufacturer use as built-in component.

As advertised. Unless you're trying to burn mass quantities of DVDs it's fast enough. And if you are burning a lot of DVDs, use a desktop computer with a superfast drive. It's light and easily portable.

I wanted to transfer music CDs to my desktop. My CD reader on my desktop wouldn't work, so this was a great option. The price was right as well. Easy to set-up and easy to use. It plugs in to a USB port.

This is one awesome external cd/dvd drive. The unit performs well for its size and primary functions too. In addition, Best Buy had a very nice discounted price at the time of purchase too.

I bought this on sale for under $25 since my new computer no longer comes with a CD/DVD drive in it. I just plugged it into the USB port and it was able to read photo, data and most music CD's I tried. It didn't like the files on one music CD, and I don't know exactly why, but since that is not my major reason for the purchase, I'm not too concerned. I wouldn't expect it to handle much physical abuse, but it was well worth the price.

There isn’t much to write about a review on a product like this. I think I got this for 25$ on a sale that going in at the time. It is slim. It works. It was cheap. Overall a good purchase.

This worked with my MacBook Air. This is a USB 2.0 Drive. Some MacBook Airs have problems holding a wifi connection and using a USB 3.0 device (a problem I was having) going to this optical drive (USB 2.0) solved my problem.

Most computers don’t have disk drives and there is a reason - you hardly ever need it. But on the rare occasion you do... that where I found myself. I think I have only used his like once or twice but it does exactly what I need each time I plug it in. A good product especially for the price.

I am still using DVD and CD and my new lap top does not have cd rom so i buy this and working fast and perfect , easy install to your system.
