I was using my installed drive a lot and knew that it would give out under pressure. I bought this one and it works fine. No need of extra power cord. Runs right off the USB power.

Bought this drive because my new MSI did not come with one. It is perfect for all my software CDs and DVDs I have collected over the years.

I knew I was going to have to replace my old laptop computer. Best Buy offered a good price on the one I bought, and at 0% financing. I later bought a DVD player to go with my new computer.

New PC didn't come with a DVD drive and didn't see the point of having one installed, Love that this is just plug and play.

I mainly use it to read DVD's, but am fairly good at editing and writing home movies from drive. has worked with 3 different media manufacturers and have had no write errors. Good value.

I used this as a replacement for a defective CD reader on my old computer, and when I got a replacement computer it did not have a CD drive, so this one is still very useful.

Got this to go with my high schoolers Chromebook. She ws so happy about the features of her Chromebook she forgot all about it. Will apply it after school is officially out.

It works great for downloading CD's to my laptop. You must make sure the connections (USB) is good or it won't transmit. It definitely paid for itself after downloading several CD's.

Meets my needs for what I ordered it for. It was a bit higher priced than what I wanted to pay but I didn’t have much option to choose as I had to order this from the parking lot and the retail rep gave me one choice.

While most software and things are download compatible, sometimes it's faster to install with a drive. Works great for that and adding CDs from musicians that don't stream to my Playlist.

This compact drive was lightweight and easy to use- except I didn't realize it wasn't compatible with Windows 11.

So far so good, no problems. I'm able to listen and burn my CD's.
