    Great little item! The new computer had no extra drives, so this was a "must" for the work my wife does. She loves it for playing and burning her work.

    Best investment I have a ever made. The optical drive on my older laptop lost a piece where the disk gets lock in but this is a great hardware saver for your buck.

    This is definitely needed for those who still have DVDs and CDs they want to play on a laptop, but it doesn’t have a drive anymore.

    After upgrading my personal computer to an all-in-one, it does not have a CD recorder/player. I still download a lot of CDs to my iPod, so is a necessity.

    Everything works wonderfully. It was supposed to be plug & play. However, we did have to download a driver in order to use it. All in all - great buy.

    This item is good for the recent release of desktop and/or laptop with no cd rom drive. I am a faithful video game player so this device came in handy.

    The LG CD or DVD writer. Did not meet up with my expectations. I hooked it up to my new HP laptop and it did not pull up the DVD with it. It left behind a blank screen. Maybe i used it wrong? But there was no clear cut instructions to install it? I would like to take it back for and exchange? But do not know if Best Buy does that? i do not think its broken? Best Buy will have to determine that? But what i want is a working portable CD-ROM? But do not know enough on how to use for the lack of clear cut instructions.

    This LG device is easy to setup and works as expected The only feature that I miss is the option to convert audio to mp3 format, I consider to have it as a default option
