    We bought this to go with our new computer and laptop. Neither came with a DVD/CD drive. A must have for us.

    The software that came with it is not Mac supported but it is still useful for retrieving files off of other disc which is why I purchased it.

    This item could be better. A link to it appears as soon as I boot up even when it is not connected. This is not good because it wastes my time clicking it off. It seems programed for what the manufacturer wants me to use it for instead of wat i want to use it for.

    No space to put in internal player and conversion kit was more expensive then brand new player at bargain sale.

    This is pretty good if you have a newer slim laptop that doesn’t have a cd drive. It functions well, but setup could be a little easier and I’m not new to installing hardware/software.
