    I used this to install a program on my laptop, it loaded up without any problems. That’s the only thing I’ve used it for.

    I bought this drive to play a new DVD, but it sticks in certain spots just like my old player did. I have to turn it upside down before it will move on. My old one was the same brand. I couldn't tell with the old one if the problem was that the DVD was too old or the drive was, so I bought a new DVD. That wasn't the problem. Then I bought this new drive, and it's better, but not perfect. I guess this technology is just old.

    My new all-in-one computer doesn't have a CD/DVD drive so I needed this for all the files I still need to transfer from CD to hard drive.

    I had to buy this last minute for a project, and it served its purpose. These are becoming obsolete, so wasn’t particularly impressed with the build quality.

    It is fine for movie watching but you are better off buying the windows DVD software app than using the one that comes with it. I have not tried to burn any CDs with it yet.

    Needed to access the files from a cd, and couldn't get it done until we tried this little device. It was able to read the disc when no other device could. Well worth the $24 investment.

    Mt newer laptop did not come with a cd/dvd optical drive, so I opted to get this one. Works as expected, bit appears to be cheaply made. Cannot predict it's longevity/ durability over time.
