    The laptop these day does not come with dvd rom. It is good to have one at home just in case to read the old files on cd/dvd rom

    Once I finally got the my computer to recognize the disc drive. But once I did it works good a little loud but nothing you can’t ignore.

    Was needed for lap top to load programs and burn CD's . only draw back is you need to ensure proper CD installation into tray. Sometimes they don't fully pop into place.

    Was about to buy the Apple Drive for our mac, but that's just plain expensive for what it does, this does the job just fine, only in plastic, which I don't mind at all

    Product worked fine, but the slide-out tray that receives the cd was a bit lightweight. I was fearful of breaking it over time, so I returned it and bought the Apple cd burner instead. I did upload a few cds to my computer with this unit, and it worked flawlessly. My only issue was fear of breaking the tray over time.

    Player works great but when installing it onto my laptop it deleted certain files from my laptop that had to be reinstalled (scanning ability).

    I don't think the description said that it came with a hook up cable so I bought one. Turns out I didn't need it. Fortunately it wasn't expensive.
