I bought this as an external drive for my desktop as most computers are starting to remove the dvd writers from their set up and rely on flash drives. Its great if you have some old disc lying around that you need data from and the interface is a simple plugin and play. The quality build is average I give it a 3 of 5 just on that alone. I would recommend this as a backup reader.

Bought it to play DVDs. Didn't see an app on windows 10 to run it. I t took a while to find an app to play DVDs but it worked well once I found one.

Very dependable. Needed to make 300 CDs. Worked well with no errors.

I don’t need to use or burn CDs and DVDs very often. This was affordable and doesn’t take a lot of space.

While I really have few if any complaints about this Item I really would prefer to have not needed to buy it separately frm my computer.... ithey really need to stay incorporated with the computer and not separate

Bought this for an older computer that I have that had a broken drive. Works well for that purpose.

As an IT consultant, I have used many external drives. This drive is a solid choice & works great.

Purchased to review a bunch of old burned DVDs and CDs. Sometimes I have to disconnect and reconnect for it read disc. Would be nice if eject button overrode any failed attempt to read disc so that one may eject. I have a handy paper clip on the desk at all times as eject fails often. ...and for those that tell me its user error, Apple external works fine every time....

Great product for the price. We have had no issues with this product and we had never had a touchscreen lab top which is really nice.

Works as I needed it to work with my MacBook Pro feels cheap but works good

I bought this for to go with a laptop I just purchased. It is very confusing how to use this. I installed the software that came with it but couldn’t figure out how to burn a dvd from a video I recorded from my iPhone to it. Finally my son installed a different program so I could make a disc to record it. I think it needs better instruction to tell you how to use it.

Great device. I have no issues with it. I wish it were a little cheaper but definitely serves its purpose.
