Lightly built and awkward to open and close and take discs in and out. it seems slow to load and read, but it does work. I only use it occasionally and would not recommend it for someone who would use it frequently.

It is really hard to set up and the maker tries to sell you upgrades and other things constantly. This should basically be plug and play and it is not. After two hours I got it to work on one laptop. I can’t get it to work on two other identical laptops and I really am technically inclined.

It downloaded a bunch of Cyber-link apps, with no explanation on how to use it with the recorder. It was a waste of time. I had an LG that I wore out. It was an easy plug and play. I will buy another LG

So if you plan to use on windows or Linux you’re green but if need it for an apple computer just buy the apple SuperDrive. I think the cheapest LG drive that supports Apple Is just shy of 100$
