This was easy to add on and does the job with no problems, and was inexpensive.

great external dvd drive

Being an Apple fanatic it's very rare that I don't like one of their products but I had been burned by failures in the slot load and eject feature on two iMacs. The LG external has a manual tray load that seems much less likely to fail. It's a very light and portable external drive. So far I've only used it to view and rip DVDs to my Mac Book Air but it has worked perfectly every time. Great value.
