Since most laptops are not being built with CD/DVD ROMS today, I had to get something that would burn my CDs onto my hard drive so I could download them to google play music. This burner is great. Easy to set up and use.

I tried the Apple external DVD player but I didn't like it. Being an Apple fanatic it's very rare that I don't like one of their products but I had been burned by failures in the slot load and eject feature on two iMacs. The LG external has a manual tray load that seems much less likely to fail. It's a very light and portable external drive. So far I've only used it to view and rip DVDs to my Mac Book Air but it has worked perfectly every time. Great value.

Bought this DVD drive when I purchased a program that came with CD, and my laptop does not have a CD drive. This DVD drive works great and at a great price too.

You'd think burning CDs would be extinct and file sharing via links a norm, but not everyone does this. I needed to share a bunch of my dad's scans he had done with various doctors and doctors are still very much in a CD mode. I no longer have any equipment to read or burn CDs so this little guy came in really handy. I used for a couple of other situations, so definitely worth it. Best part is that it's external so it can be hooked up to any computer equipment that has a USB hookup or USB adapter.

I haven't used the LG External drive yet. I like the looks and it appears to be just what I wanted.

I like the fact that i dont have to have an ac or dc adapter for power plus using the usb to transfer and play. It's 1 usb cable and you can take it where ever. Free of an outlet.

Just what we wanted for traveling. Very good quality. Simple to operate. Very useful with computers without a capacity to play dvds

Easy to hock up to you laptop when traveling and speed is great . The disc take to any computer with out any download for drivers

I've been buying these for months now for work. They are fairly cheap and plug and play. It allows everyone to run software and play DVDs on computers that had no disc drives.

This LG USB double layer DVD/CD is really practical and efficient. I like the practicality of it's compact size which does not take too much space. I used it for loading my software and it performs well.

A perfect add-on for my All-in-One computer. I can also use it on my smart TV to watch movies.

Used this little work horse to load over 350 music CDs to a Brennan B2. Was fast and relatively quiet. Only had a couple of misreads, and the corrected on a second try.
