While I haven't used it to write disks as yet, this peripheral drive works well for reading disks. The price for the unit was good and am well pleased thus far with it.

As well as CDs to rip from time to time (is this 2001? I know right) but it works great! It is quick and accurate with ripping. Not loud at all either. Plugged right up and was recognized on every PC I have tried it on.

Bought this LG drive, it was immediately recognized and installed (software included), and has performed flawlessly. Great device!

I can't determine its quality with nothing to compare it to. The only thing it might offer is a USB/C plug accessory as so many things now require that and it has the standard USB plug. So I had to purchase a USB/C plug in addition for my Apple laptop although it was added at very little additional cost.

The drive on my boss’s computer failed and he figured it was time to get a new laptop. I contacted the Geek Squad, first to see if the laptop could be repaired for a reasonable price. When it couldn’t, they recommended an external hard drive. I had already tried one that I purchased off Amazon and it didn’t work. Well, I purchased one from Best Buy and took it to the Geek Squad to see if it would work. Of course I bought the wrong one, but they were able to return it and point me in the direction of the right one. Once we did that, they actually made sure that it was compatible and that it worked. I get it back to the office and my boss loved it! It saved him from having to buy a whole new laptop and his computer is actually performing faster too! I would definitely recommend!
