Hooked it up to my Mac and works just fine. Plug an use.

Purchased this for my new computer for multiple projects. So far was able to burn images iso's, install old pc games, & play old burnt music cd's. Speed is average not bad at all. Very slim and sleek. Plugged it in & windows picked it up right away. Don't spend your money on more expensive devices this works just fine. I recommend using IMGBurn software which is FREE.

I am having a ball with the CD Drive the Geek Squad Tech install with my new computer. I purchased the CD Drive directly from the Tech, and it was installed on the spot. The price for the external CD Drive couldn't be beat. I'm a musician/song writer, and a lot of my songs were recorded on CDs. As you know not a lot of people have CD's, or CD players anymore. Who am I trying to fool, nobody has CD equipment anymore. Thanks to the Tech I was transferring CD's to USB Drive before he got out of the door. Great Job!

I was looking for an external CD drive since my new laptop didn't come with one. I was surprised to see this guy on sale at my local store for less than $20, so I picked it up. I am transferring all my old CDs into iTunes as we speak - it's quick and easy. No software to install either... just plug into the USB and it works perfectly!

This is a handy little DVD burner to have for the new laptops. If you use Windows, it comes with an OEM version of Cyberlink's Media Suite. Photo Director allows you to work with your photos. Power Director allows you to work with your video files, make movies and burn them to a DVD or CD. Power DVD is a pretty good media player. If you have a Mac Book, You can drag and drop, or use your own program to edit videos and make movies. I used it on a 2018 Mac Book Pro, and had to use a USB C ti USB 3 adapter because I didn't have my dongle at the time. It is handy to have if you have a newer Mac, because they stopped putting DVDs in them a long time ago.

My wife bought some Australian videos and this machine converted them without having to decrypt them. Saved me a lot of time. Very compacted and easy to install.

If you cant play a movie on your lsptop, hou may need to go yovthe ftore on laptop and fownload a player gor your lsptop. There are free ones. I use to bebsbld to just play this but now i have to fownload a player. The product is awesome and rotks great.
