Very convenient USB drive now that cd/dvd drives are no longer built into laptops. Runs quiet and fast, easy set up.

Easy to install and works great. As a senior citizen and not so Savey on computer stuff, this was a plus for me. So happy that a Best Buy worker helped me with this purchase once I explained what I was looking for. Very satisfied.

Bought an iMac with no optical drive. Picked this up. Reasonably priced with decent features. So far I've only burned some audio discs, but it worked perfectly. Simple to use. Nothing to install. I was a little disappointed that the included software is windows only, but since I've had Roxio Toast on my machine, that was no problem. If you do a lot of disc burning and need to get into the nuts and bolts of disc authoring, I would highly recommend finding some third party software as opposed to relying solely on the native Mac app capabilities. Also keep in mind that at this price point, this burner may or may not have all the capability that you need, so compare the specs carefully....

Works well does what it’s supposed to. Compact size is a plus. Operates quietly.

This external drive works seamlessly with my 2023 MacBook Pro. It only requires a USB to USB-C adapter if you do not have a USB port on your Mac. Nothing to install, this drive runs right out of the box. Works great for burning and downloading DVDs

Used this with a MacBook Air M3 to read some old family slideshows recorded as DVD's and convert to .mp4 files. Fast and quiet as a reader, I have not tried recording with it. Can't beat the price.

My disc drive broke in my really old laptop. I didn't know how to replace it and my warranty expired years ago. This little gem is perfect. The only thing is I had to get a separate pouch to carry it in since it didn't have one in the box. Other than using up a port, works great for everything I need. I recommend this if you need a quick, easy fix for a broken disc drive.

I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO UISE THIS PRODUCT YET. BUT IT IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AND ATTACHES TO THE LAPTOP WITH EASE. IT CAME WITH ONE DISK FOR FUTURE USE.

I recently bought a bare bones computer that came with a read only drive. I found this LG drive on best buy's web site and said it looks cheap but I am retired and on a budget so I will give it a try. This thing is not cheap! And for only $40.00? Really? I have other drives that i could have installed but that would require me to open up the computer case and move things around. This is a USB drive so a very simple installation. The performance is very good. It reads and writes well. All in all I can't find anything on the web that comes anywhere near the quality for the price.

I found some old CD's that I wanted to digitize and share with friends but no ones computer has a optic drive anymore! this unit came in super handy! it runs fast and very quiet and I am really happy with the results. I got it on sale and the price was great too. It was just plug and play, I dont think it even needed to install any drivers, just showed up as another drive and worked flawlessly without hassle right out of the box. Thanks!

Plays and writes DVDs with no problem. Had to delete and install the op. software 2 times before I had success. However, a power issue might have caused the problem. Instructions to install software are weak -- a lot of knowledge is presumed. Also, I keep getting pestered to buy a software upgrade which I don't appreciate. Does a nice job of managing digital stills, which is a nice surprise. Overall, for the price, I think this drive is good value.

Plug and play. Pretty self explanatory. USB cable included to plug into computer. I have a Mac and my computer recognized device instantly. Plays DVD, CD, even reads my Action Replay software CD. Give it a try and see if this solves your projects and desires.

It looks good. It is right size and the light weight. It works very well, and it was good price when I purchased.

I bought this to upload songs from CDs and to burn backup discs of important files. It performs better than I expected. Quiet, lightweight, and compact.

I needed an external DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive since new computers no longer them available on the newer computers. Us older folks still use them. I only used ONCE so far.

Fast disk burn speed, reliable performance. Love the low power consumption and fast yet very quiet operating noise.
