Works great, can't complain. it is cheap, small, easy, not too loud.

First of all, Big Fan of LG! I have tons of LG products and they haven't failed me yet! Also love this portable DVD player as it plays your DVD's and CD's as well as copies them. One Stop Shop in my opinion. My vehicle is old and so I still have a CD player. I burn (or copy) my favorite music onto a CDR (blank rewritable CD) and it plays beautifully with no issues!

Super easy. I needed to look at some CDs and needed an external drive. The price was great and it was super easy to set up.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the CD installation disc. Then I though: how do they send a CD installer to install a CD reader?? But then realize that the CD actually contains additional free software, which was a plus. The CD reader itself is recognized automatically by Windows and you can start using it almost immediately after connecting it to any available USB port. Just make sure your computer is connected to the Web, in case it needs to download the driver for it.

For me it wasn't as easy as the sales lady told me it would be to use but after watching a few youtube videos, it got better and worked out great. My problem was that I was using it for my Embroidery Machine to download some disc's into my laptop and couldn't bring everything to the store for help and didn't have time to teach anyone about using an Embroidery Machine at my house. So, I gave 4 stars because it did the job needed after I was educated. As a senior citizen, I don't always understand what the sales person is talking about anyway .... Lol.

New laptops does not come with dvd writer so I got this one on deal. LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black is pretty good and very thin and light weight. Does the job. It says it can work as dvd player if you connect with your smart tv. I need to try that though I have 4k player. Just in case.

Slim and sturdy, easy to push the eject button. I use this for cataloging data so I am continually switching discs, no problems.

I needed a DVD writer/player. I wanted something compact and lightweight and something that worked well. This LG fit the bill.

This external CD Drive was awesome. Very easy to setup and easier to use. I was able to transfer my entire CD collection over to an MP3 player.
