Easy to use

Then I though: how do they send a CD installer to install a CD reader?? But then realize that the CD actually contains additional free software, which was a plus. The CD reader itself is recognized automatically by Windows and you can start using it almost immediately after connecting it to any available USB port. Just make sure your computer is connected to the Web, in case it needs to download the driver for it.

Works perfectly, is super easy to use (especially if you have a windows laptop since you can use windows media player to burn everything). Good for DVD too.

LG-8x External DVD+RW/CD Drive fits the needs

My experience with this external player is good. It started up fast and performed at a good pace. I purchased this mainly to be able to watch my old DVD CD movies and it does the job quite well! With this solid built but light weight player I can easily take it with me on the go. I am sure I will find many uses for it besides watching movies. I am happy with it!

It Works!

After considering the Apple equivalent and it’s cost, I decided on this. I have used it to copy a music cd to the Mac and it worked fine. It doesn’t seem to be as well made as the Apple, but I don’t expect to use it enough for that to matter.

Works as expected. Would recommend if on sale for cheap and the buyer realizes it is pretty much considered obsolete by today's standards.
