Although i wish laptops came with this built in, i yave to say this is very thin and lightweight and easy to install and use.

Easy to install, easy to use, quiet and fast, with a more substantial case than some other flimsier DVD/CD writers I’ve used.

Macbook pro does not have an internal DVD drive, so this worked perfectly. I use it all the time.

Nice and slim, better than trying to find the CD/DVD door in an all-in-one. Works great.

I had some old guitar world DVDs that I was wanting to watch and my laptop doesn't have a DVD drive. Ordered this and downloaded the software and have had no issues. Haven't used it a whole lot but for the price it's been worth it

The optical drive on one of my older Mac mini computers got stuck, wouldn’t open. So I needed an external drive. I went to Best Buy, they had an LG external CD / DVD Drive at a very good price. I have had other LG devices and they were all excellent quality so I bought this LG external drive. It worked right out of the box. No special set up, no drivers, just plug it in and it worked.

Great product! My computer DVD player doesn't work and I enjoy watching DVDs on my laptop while in bed. The unit connects to a USB port (cable included) and can be unplugged as soon as the disk gets ejected. No software needed (Mac).

This is a Writer that I can use on all of my 'puters and it will read all types of files with ease. It is a life saver because, it allows me to retrieve old files off of failing disk and locate them in other file locations where they can be used as needed.

Bought this to replace the non-existent SuperDrive on my new MacBook Pro. Setup was an easy plug and play. Import seemed to transfer pretty quickly. The only gripe I have is that after I imported, it would not eject the disc when I press the eject button on the device. It did work when I did an eject command on the computer. Annoying but not a dealbreaker.

Small footprint, easy to set up, easy to use. adds a large dimension to the use of your computer. ability to listen, record sound ,store pictures .etc. is a big plus

I brought my Dell Inspiron 3880, due to it's lack of DVD feature! Your Customer Service, young lady, Alissa Maxon, helped me entirely. From the way she handled my computer need, I knew she knows what she's doing! She recommended an external DVD Drive, plug and play one. It was stupendous, after I installed it.
