I bought this exact same product a few years ago to transfer physical music CDs to ITunes. Although the process was slow, the quality is excellent. I had a family member borrow my original device and when I saw the same thing for sale once again for under $20, I picked it up and let my family member keep the borrowed one. The only thing that could be better is the transference speed as it takes more than 5 minutes to copy a single music CD. Not sure if there are products that do this faster but you can spend hours copying a couple handfuls of CDs.

I brought my Dell Inspiron 3880, due to it's lack of DVD feature! Your Customer Service, young lady, Alissa Maxon, helped me entirely. From the way she handled my computer need, I knew she knows what she's doing! She recommended an external DVD Drive, plug and play one. It was stupendous, after I installed it. Kudos to Ms. Alissa Maxon of your Total Tech Support, Geek Squad group. She is an asset to your team!

I have a spare laptop that I use for CD Ripping. The CD drive suffered a failure when the ribbon cable hung and tore. It was much cheaper to buy this LG Drive than to get an OEM replacement. The drive itself is of excellent build quality and works well for CD Ripping. Overall I'd recommend this as an inexpensive alternative for anyone needing to replace a failed laptop drive.

Bought as a back up Incase I ever need it since my new laptop does not have a drive on it. Used it once so far, hooked up nice and slim and light for easy travel.

Had to uninstall cyberlink software that came with the LG optical drive because it does not work. To listen to cd have to use windows 10 mediaplayer, to watch dvd, had to download free dvd veiwer software from the internet. To burn cd and dvd data, can use the existing win 10 pro version that comes with the operating system. This was quite a learning curve. The win 10 burning software is hidden, but once you know it exists, it is similar to that of win 7. The alternative instructions should be included and the cyberlink software ditched. Time will tell how durable the optical drive is. The main reason for buying this external drive is that new computer does not have an internal optical drive and want to be able to view old and burn new data and download software from optical disk. Cannot recommend this product without including new alternative instructions mentioned to get full use of product.

This DVD+RW/CD-RW drive is a great product. The price was good. It is very easy to use.

The dvd player provides very good picture and sound quality. The controller is easy to use.

Purchased it on sale for cheap since CD/DVD drive are becoming obsolete in computers these days. Works as expected. Would recommend if on sale for cheap and the buyer realizes it is pretty much considered obsolete by today's standards.

Recommended by the geek squad to us in store. We did buy it & have them back up everything from our old computer to it. When purchase it also purchased a new computer. This holds a lot, as we had gaming, pictures & much more on our old computer wanted saved & put onto our new computer. Works great at home & backs up everything daily. High quality and very easy to use. A must to watch all your DVD’s.

No computers have disk drives anymore so you kind of ignore it until you really need one. Well I really needed a disk drive and was able to order it online and pick it up at Best Buy within a couple hours. It really saved my bacon. The drive itself was pretty high quality and even though it was an LG branded product it still was priced competitively with the no name products on amazon.

Bought this to replace the non-existent SuperDrive on my new MacBook Pro. Setup was an easy plug and play. Import seemed to transfer pretty quickly. The only gripe I have is that after I imported, it would not eject the disc when I press the eject button on the device. It did work when I did an eject command on the computer. Annoying but not a dealbreaker.
