The LG SL8Y 3.1.2 Channel Sound Bar with wireless Subwoofer, and Dolby Atmos has a really awesome sound! The sound bar was so easy to install, and it comes with voice recognition which really impressed me. The soundbar itself is very sleek and a great addition to my LG Big screen TV. The soundbar is light enough to hang on the wall, but it also looks great setting up in front of the TV. The sound honestly is clear, and load, I can't believe how much better it makes watching TV is. Our friends are already asking where to buy one one of this awesome LG Sound bars! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. I own several large LG products from large to small, I really can't say enough good things about LG. Naturally when it came time to upgrade my sound bar, it was a no brainier on which brand to go with. I'm loving my LG SL8YG sound bar with its sleek look. It has a lot of amazing features like bluetooth, built in Google Assistant and you can really hear the high quality sound and pairs great with LG 75" Nano Cell ultra-premium LED TV for the ultimate entertainment experience.

I was at first going to go with a cheaper system which had 5.1 but I decided on LG since I have an LG tv. The sound is incredible and set up was easy. It was made for an LG tv. I only wish it came as a 5.1 system, as the LG surround rear speakers sold separately were underwhelming and a bit disappointing.

Paired this bar with 65" LG C8. I did not need a bigger bar as SL8YG delivers plenty of volume and effects for my medium room. Good - good sound, various modes and speaker adjustments. Powerful sub woofer - perfect for a small to medium room. Bad - Google Home. If you are ok with soundbar waking you up every night at 2:00AM and telling you that your microphone is muted and how to un-mute it, by all means go for it. And the reminder is loud! And yes, I tried all possible google home settings for the device (night mode, lowering the volume for night mode, disabling notifications, etc.) Nothing helps, bar keeps reminding with the loudest volume that mic is muted. I guess I can leave mic un-muted but I do not want to. I do not want bar to be listening when I do not need it to. The only solution for now is to not forget to unplug soundbar's power for the night... Frustrating. Other than that it could have been a great bar.

If you want the very best viewing experience, this is the perfect soundbar. We first bought the LG TV,and then we added this in. We feel like we are at the movies! The sound sounds like it is coming from all sides. It the ARC feature is really nice. The Google Assistant is great. The piece is slim and attractive. We didn't mount it,but having sitting in front of the TV,which is mounted on the wall. It sounds great and looks great. I don't think any other brand compares to LG! They are the best! Great sound and impressively spacious sound stage it puts out for this size. Subwoofer outputs plenty of bass, and effective surround effects. Great atmos sound for the price point. Paired with wireless surround speakers and I'm very happy considering I was stepping down from a 2400 watt 9.2 system for space saving.

I am a tech friendly guy but this unit was a hassle. The only option for set up is via the google home app. I didn't really want to use it with google home because the the native lg apps on the tv are usually a bit clunky compared to my phone. Plus already having several bluetooth speakers I didn't need another. Build quality is really good, sound via direct connection was OK. But I could never get the unit to connect to my WiFi. I want to stress that this is not a knowledge issue, I have set up a lot of systems, stay current on tech and use home automation regularly. Also the rear channels are sold as wireless, but they actually each have a wired connection back to a large powered bluetooth transmitter box. So its quite a pile of wires and a large box to hide somewhere. By comparison I returned this unit and bought the Sony HTS5000, easy on screen set up, integrated with home systems etc etc. A little pricey but it sounds great, set up was about 10 minutes.

I I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. love listening to this sound bar, it was amazing.. I felt like I was at the movies. The sound was Cyristal clear you can hear the rain dropping one by one. It is by far the most amazing sound bar I have ever listened to.

Where to start, first I noticed that audio gets out of sync. That gets annoying really fast. I also have an LG B7A OLED for reference. I figured both being LG perfect fit, but I was wrong. Second, the speakers started popping. I had to call LG to get it repaired, then when I got it back it started doing the same thing, but this time SMOKE came out of the back end of the soundbar. (Worth noting I live in a small apartment so the volume is always low). I called LG and they said this time they will probably replace it instead of repair it, but they have yet to call me back to let me know if they will or not. Honestly, for the price, I was a bit disappointed overall. I feel like maybe spending $800+ on some of those sound systems that you have to build yourself would be better, than spending 800 on a soundbar that requires you to spend so much of your time tweaking. It should just work right out of the box. This little guy has too many issues. Hoping they will refund my money vs getting it replaced.

I have an 80" Samsung 4K Smart TV I connected it through my LG sound bar that I paid 700.00 for When I switch to 4K programming and back to normal programming it looses its brains and everything has to be reset Now there is a 1 second delay in the sound I hook my cable direct to the tv and it works fine but when I connect the HDMI from the cable box to the sound bar and then to the TV there is a delay. It doesn't seem to be compatible with 4K
