Lightweight and portable, limited light output
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Portable and good battery life. The bulb is definitely not as bright as a standard projector, but it works for a small and dark indoor area. The projector can only really sustain on the highest brightness setting while plugged in. It is very lightweight and actually portable.

Decent Entry Level Projector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This projector has a clear, pretty decent image considering its only 720p and is definitely on par with any other projectors in the same price range. LG claims a 550 lumen brightness and although I cant measure lumens it definitely did not seem that bright and in the daytime even with the blinds closed it is a little difficult to see. The interface is a bit dated but functions well. One really nice feature is the ability to hook up a good old OTA antenna and watch local channels. The major shortcoming of this projector, as I see it, is the inability to launch apps such as Youtube or Netflix. Also, I could not get the screen mirroring to work on my Note 5 no matter what I tried and I am very technical. Honestly, I believe there are better options out there for similar cost.

Great portable projector for on the road -
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this LG PH550 for a few months now. I found it at another B&M retailer that had a special promotion that BBY could not match, so I bought it there, but I would have preferred to buy it at BBY. The unit is beautiful. Do not let the 550 lumens fool you. At night or dimly lit rooms, it's plenty bright (remember to take it off power saving mode if you are running on battery). It is not something you want for a regular home theater use in a permanent situation but it can be if you want to. I'd prefer a projector with a regular bulb for those situations. There is no zoom function, only focus, which is why I prefer the bigger projectors, and plus they are brighter The PH550 is actually a great projector for what its designed for. Its light, rechargable, easy to use and fairly bright screen for smaller than 60-80" screen size. Its color quality is accurate and LG allows for it to be used wirelessly via miracast. Its def worth it. I had it playing horror movies over halloween in the corner. I use it at work as a portable second screen when showing coworkers my ideas. It beats lugging my Epson EX series projector. It may not be for everybody, but under my use scenario its perfect!

Great...but only until warranty runs out.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m leaving 2 stars because the projector was great when I first bought it, on 7/24/18. It’s had light use over the past year (I travel a lot for my job, so gone from home more than 50% of the time). I would estimate I’ve used this projector for less than 50-60 hours of streaming videos. I haven’t used it in over a month, went to turn it on tonight and it won’t power on. The red indicator light comes on when the power switch is in the on position, but pressing the power button on top does nothing. I called LG customer service and they can’t even help troubleshoot beyond turn it off and back on. The projector has a one year warranty. I am almost a month out of warranty. Based on extremely light use, I’d say this was not a good buy. I’m going tomorrow to buy a new projector and it won’t be an LG.

It's only wireless when connecting to speaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG has used a limited function the wireless capability of this product to advertise it as it's main one, the product does have a wireless Bluetooth cabability but unlike its advertising doesn't connect to much and many adapters and wires are actually required to use this projector.
