New Fridge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall very pleased with the performance of the unit. Really like the variety of ice, crushed, cubes, and balls. The glass panel opens to gain easy access to frequently used items. Would rate a 5 if not for the unusual taste from the filtered water. Also, not sure of the smart features

Craft Ice Balls...enough said
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing refrigerator! I love that it makes 4 different kinds of ice, including the craft ice balls for cocktails. The knock knock peek-a-boo door is great too. My only bummer with it is, the first few rounds of water seemed to taste of plastic and musty. The forums said that is because I didn't run enough water through the filter. So I did that, which made my water taste perfect, but my ice still seems to have that musty plastic taste. Not sure why.

Refrigerator has issues with water taste and ice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As other reviewers have stated, the water from the dispenser has a very unpleasant taste. Additionally, it only makes about 5 of the round ice cubes per week. Pretty much a waste of space.

To improve water taste, we recommend flushing approximately 2.5 gallons of water through the dispenser after a filter change, and for the ice, ensuring the freezer is set to at least -4°F can help optimize production. Paid a ton of monery for terrible tasting ice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dealing with the same issue that multiple ithers are. Fridge operates fine and looks great but the ice TASTES LIKE PLASTIC. We have tried multiple new water filters, replaced the water line (even though best buy required a new one purchased with fridge), dumped TONS of buckets of ice, emptied the entire fridge to let it air out, scrubbed it with baking soda and nothing works.the water tastes great but the ice does not at all. Highly disappointing because we bought this fridge due to our last one not having ice at all so now we have spent thousands of dollars only to be without ice again. The irony is that this fridge makes 6 djfferent kinds of ice and they are all terrible tasting. READ THE ONLINE FORUMS, ITS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH NO SOLUTIONS FROM LG. Shame.

Posted .Hi, Hunter. Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand how important it is for your LG Refrigerator (LRYKC2606S) model to deliver clean, fresh-tasting ice, especially with multiple ice options available.
To help, please try this step: run a manual ice maker cleaning cycle by discarding all current ice, then pressing and holding the Ice Plus button to force a new batch. Afterward, discard the first 2–3 cycles of ice to allow the system to flush. It’s also helpful to wipe down the ice bin with a clean, dry cloth to remove any residual odors. Water Dispenser and Ice
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the refrigerator as far a space and convenience, however, the water and ice taste absolutely HORRIBLE! It tastes like chlorine or something like that. I did as directed in dumping all the ice once trays were full and was instructed to dump approximately 1 to 1-1/2 gallons of water from the dispenser. I actually dumped about 3 gallons.
