    Horrible product! Do not buy LG. Warranty department is awful as well. Top shelf of the refrigerator freezes items and frost has continuously built up on bottom freezer rails and in the back of the freezer. Will not sent warranty repair without us consenting to being charged, if they can't find anything wrong. Sent them pictures of the ice build up, which they acknowledged was not normal. Should not have to pay for anything. This is the second unit after the first one was defective. Only have had since May 2025.

    We purchased this refrigerator at the Brockton store. Despite a minor scratch on the side and a tiny dent at the very bottom, it was in perfect condition. Shortly after the delivery team left, we removed a large slip on the top of the right door, which revealed a deep dent that was not present at the time of purchase. After examining it closely, we discovered two more dents on the same door (as depicted in the photographs at the store and after delivery). We contacted the fulfillment center to resolve the issue. They informed us that since it is an open-box item, they cannot guarantee that the item will arrive in the same condition as it was purchased at the store. Therefore, we were advised to return the refrigerator and select a different one. However, there is no guarantee that the new refrigerator will be delivered without damage, and we have the option to refuse the delivery if we find any issues. We inquired about the possibility of replacing only the damaged door, as we would prefer to keep the refrigerator. However, they declined this request.     Fridge works fine; delivery and service was the worst I have ever received. I reported it to Best Buy and found out they didn't care. As a result, I probably will not be buying anything from them in the future (and I've bought a lot). Delivery service damaged my home- front door and tile floor- which I am still waiting for repairs 2 weeks later.

    arrived with a dent in the door. I was told I could get some money off my purchase if I chose to keep it. when I called their 'customer care" to try and set that up the agent did not follow through with my request. when I called weeks later, as I did not receive my meager $150 gift card I was told they could not do that. I ended up getting an amount refunded but it was ridiculously hard to finally get that result. I do not recommend buying appliances from Best Buy. The fridge is ok, but the dent is annoying.

    Refrigerator died after less than 70 days. LG took over a week to get back to me, only to tell me that they did not have anyone to service it in the area. Fortunately best buy total tech helped bail me out with a return. Be VERY careful if you buy an LG product that you can get service in the area if needed. I wouldn't ever touch an LG refrigerator again. We do not live in the middle of nowhere. LG was just about useless. It's too bad, the refrigerator is a nice size for counter depth (though the doors are very deep).

    Beware of buying LG products through Best Buy that come with additional products included. My purchase came with the LG - 5.79 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator with Semi Auto Defrost included, but it has been a year and the delivery date is postponed every month. Best Buy support says there is nothing they can do because the vendor is LG, so it's not their responsibility.

    Freezer Drawer Will Not Open, Repair Unavailable

    After 18 months of use, I also experienced the problem mentioned by others of the freezer drawer sticking in the closed position. Rendering the freezer unusable. While the unit is under a Geek Squad Protection Contract, Best Buy has scheduled and cancelled multiple repair appointments. Would recommend staying away from this product!

    Had this fridge for 2.5 years and it died. Woke up this morning and everything in the freezer was thawed and the fridge wasn't cold enough. All the food had to be thrown out. Best Buy wanted to charge me to send out a technician and help me order parts at my own expense. Bought a replacement from a competitor. Done with LG. Done with Best Buy.

    I hav a horrible experience with Bestbuy customer service. I bought this refrigerator last Spring(April, 2023). I decided to buy this mainly there was a promotion that a small refrigerator came with this LG one. But they didn't have stocks so instead of getting the small refrigerator, they issued me a gift card of $399. It was June, 2023 and today is December 22, 2023 and I haven't still gotten my e-gift card!!! I called the customer service so many times and spent hours on the phone but they couldn't help me for so long and tossed me here and there between departments. A supervisor was supposed to call me the other day but he/she didn't and they do not respond to my email request as well. I think they are only interest in selling, not helping customers at all! Watch out their e-gift card system!!!

    Broke Down After 1.5 Years

    Bought this refrigerator in August of 2023 and in February of 2025 the fridge stopped cooling and showed a freezer fan error. Of course, the factory warrantee is only good for the first year so we had to pay $400 to have a repair tech come and fix it (which took over a week). Not to mention the hundreds of dollars worth of groceries for my family that we had to throw away. All this hassle over a new fridge that was barely a year and a half old. Avoid LG refrigerators!

    I took measurements, pictures, everything. Went to bestbuy, confirmed what I need and was promised what I paid for will get a new waterline and everything installed. On the day of delivery, technicians demanded a lot of extra payment for the work. We called BestBuy and BestBuy operator basically said I had to pay all the hidden fees.

    Dont buy this refrigerator! I purchased this not even 2 months ago and it has been issue after issue. The door doesnt close all the way unless you manually flip the latch. The ice machine isnt making ice anymore. The issues started right after the 15 day return policy. Best buy doesnt want to exchange for a different refrigerator. Worst purchase I could have made.

    Door slams on the left- bad design.

    I believe most of the reviewers are omitting a huge design flaw in this. The left door slams shut on this unit. If you have young kids this unit is not for you. You can Google this same problem and there are forum after forum about this. LG will tell you it’s an “auto shut” feature and they can’t fix it. It’s really unacceptable they have a door that slams this hard. LG also will not send a technician to look at this because it’s part of the design flaw. Good luck if you have children because you will hear slamming fridge doors and food flying everywhere.

    NOT REALLY COUNTER DEPTH

    I love the refrigerator itself but it has a major design flaw. It is "counter depth" in name only. Because of the way the doors open, the refrigerator has to sit out a minimum of 4" past the counter. So its "counter depth" but it sticks out 4".

    The fridge doesn’t maintain the food/drinks cold. I’ve noticed that on days we’re it’s 85+ degrees the fridge struggles to maintain itself.

    Poor quality construction, unreliable functionalit

    For the money paid this is unacceptable quality. Cheap plastic shelves. Door handles held on by 2 tiny little miniature screws. Bottom freezer drawer constantly stuck in open or closed position. Everything gets frozen and next day it all melts again.
