Doors Swing Too Wide for Tight Spaces
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not fit! The refrigerator itself fit into the area, but the doors swing wide, and could not open. It cannot be placed in a corner because of the way the doors swing open. Also, the doors hit the granite counter on the other side. We need to return it for another refrigerator where the doors swing open differently. Please measure twice before you buy, it's a great refrigerator but it needs more room than you think.

Doors hit cabinets
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We liked this fridge, but had an issue with the radius of the doors opening. We got a “counter depth” model so the fridge would be flush with cabinets - but when we positioned it that way, the doors hit the cabinets. Had to return, and replace with a model that had a different hinge type.

Spacious, noisy, delivery may have caused issue
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this refrigerator from Best Buy, and while it has some great features, I’m concerned about its performance. The fridge is spacious, looks sleek in stainless steel, and the smart features are a nice touch. However, it has been making strange noises since it was delivered and installed in my basement. I recall hearing a loud noise during delivery, as if the fridge might have been dropped while being carried. I can’t help but wonder if this incident caused some internal damage. Since then, the refrigerator has been running, but the odd sounds are worrying and detract from the overall experience. I’d recommend this fridge for its design and functionality, but I’d caution anyone buying to ensure careful handling during delivery. I’m currently evaluating whether the noise issue can be resolved or if it will require a service call.

Has its goods and bads.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ice bin seems like the ice bin on an old refrigerator - takes up too much space, but doesn’t utilize the space it does occupy efficiently. Came without an ice bin or scoop - until I asked for one. Best Buy provided a bin; I can’t help but wonder if it isn’t the correct one for this refrigerator. The top freezer drawer needs some kind of divider. Everything just spreads out all over the place, including trying to creep under the ice bin. And I would like a third drawer. The very bottom of the freezer is one of those huge abyss-like holes; it holds a lot, but you can’t find anything without practically emptying it out. The refrigerator shelves are nice. I haven’t spilled any liquids, but they do have a small lip and should catch a small spill. But I don’t like that the shelf heights aren’t adjustable more. There are 3 shelves, and only 4 possible levels. The bottom shelf level is fixed. The top and middle shelves have 3 level choices. If I raise the middle shelf so I can put taller items on the lower shelf, it barely leaves any room between it and the top shelf. Same situation if I lower the top shelf to use for tall items, instead. The doors hold A LOT. I read that storing things like milk in the refrigerator door is not ideal, but this frig definitely intends for large containers to be stored in the door. The water inside the fridge tastes really weird. I feel sure this is due to the filter; at least I hope it is not something coming through the waterline itself. I have a Kitchenaid and a Jenn-air (both Whirlpool products) that have much cleaner-tasting water. Sorry, but I’m afraid to compare the actual filtration abilities of this refrigerator’s cartridge to my other ones. It’s easy enough to keep clean. With 2 little ones who don’t access the refrigerator by themselves yet, I have not had trouble keeping it fingerprint-free. I wipe the inside out every week and have not had trouble with anything sticking that can’t be easily washed off. Overall, it keeps things cold and serves its purpose. For the price, it is at least or slightly better than average. Personally, I’d spend a little more and go with a different fridge. But, for the price, it is a decent choice.

Regarding the water taste, we recommend flushing approximately 2.5 gallons of water through the dispenser after a new filter installation to remove any trapped air or carbon fines. Verdict is still out...noisy and loud
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unsure if we will be keeping this. We returned the 1st one, same make and model as it was making a squealing sound when the ice maker was filling and was not quiet at all. The 2nd refrigerator, does not squeal, but it runs almost ALL THE TIME and is quite noisy. Our 15 year old Frigidaire was much quieter! On a positive note, it does keep the temperature. If you don't mind alot of noise, this is the fridge for you!

Posted .Hello there, JoeD. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the noise levels of your LG - Counter-Depth MAX 26.5 Cu. Ft. French Door Smart Refrigerator with Internal Water Dispenser. To ensure the unit is operating optimally, we recommend checking that the refrigerator is properly leveled and that there is adequate clearance on all sides for ventilation, as this can often reduce operational sounds.

Looks great, but feels lower quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the larger counter depth fridges and it really did open up so much space in our kitchen walkway. We had quite a large LG fridge before this so it fits our needs, but I do feel a little like I went from a BMW to a Toyota. I don't know if all LG fridges are this way now or just this model, but it just doesn't feel as solid as our previous LG fridge. The doors don't close as nicely. The drawers don't glide out as well. Everything about it feels cheaper than our old LG model. They did not have this model on the showroom floor so we purchased it without testing it out. It works for us, but I think I would have opted for the counter depth Bosch fridge had I been able to look and feel both of them side by side in the store.

||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This frig has a lot of room inside and a lot of room in both doors. That was something we were looking for. Another item we were looking at was no built-in door ice or water. It has the ice in freezer area and the water built-in inside along the wall. The freezer is a good size also. Big down sides: both doors are very light with a strong closing spring to help. If you don't hold on to the handle, the door slams shut raddling everything in the door. The other thing is the middle inside draw. You need to completely open both doors to get to the middle drawer to get what you want. Also it's not very tall so you can't place soda cans standing up. Our other frig had this as an outside drawer which made it conveniant to quickly get sodas or other items.

Large basic interior with few additional features.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The shelves on the doors are too large and items tumble around in there. There are no sliding shelves so it's difficult to store an open wine bottle with a stopper in it.

Very badly designed food stora draver
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this refrigerator for over one year. The refrigerator is very good, work great -- but I absolutely despise the full-width drawer, located below the crisper drawers. To place even the smallest item into that drawer, both fridge doors have to be wide opened, while exposing the entire inside of the fridge to potentially hot ambient air. I consider it a TERRIBLE design flaw -- as not only it affects the fridge efficiency, but potentially warms up food items inside it. As far as I know, there is no way to replace this very badly designed drawer with split-drawers. For that, I will be looking to get a new refrigerator as soon as possible... For that reason, I cannot recommend this refrigerator.

We should have returned this.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are not happy with this fridge. It is larger than our last, which is good. However, it is necessary to manually close the left door. If you don't, it slams and bottles fall over. Sounds like they have fallen off the door, but have just fallen over. Very loud. It is necessary to tightly, fully pack all condiments and other items in jar on the door shelves. Be sure to tightly screw on the caup of your soy sauce!! The door on the right appears to close automatically with a little "nudge." However, it never closes all the way. There is a tone that sounds to remind you that the door is still open slightly. The ice is deposited in a box; no scoop provided. The ice freezes together and must be chopped or dumped to break it loose. The main shelf has a shelf above it that is too low to accommodate tall bottles. It is necessary to remove the shelf on one side in order to put tall bottles, like soda, wine and milk, in the main section. There is no butter keeper.

BEWARE: MEASURE YOUR SPACE
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Counter depth is not a standard measurement across all brands of refrigerators. This refrigerator is very nice, but it is BIG. Be careful, measure your space and know exactly what you're getting. Salesperson did not share that information with us. We found out the hard way when we received a refrigerator that was too big. Best Buy did honor their return policy, but it was a HUGE pain to schedule the pick up, including having to reschedule b/c they went to the wrong address.

Flap
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it because its very spacious, I dislike the unnescesary flap inbetween door which is useless, makes the fridge slow to close you really need to push it to close the door. If your not paying attention you will forget, yes there is alarm, it takes time too. So when you leave the house make sure the fridge door is close.

Nice Fridge but Parts Fail!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful fridge with great features. Yet, after having it for 2 years, the condenser fan failed, causing distress due to the noise. Unfortunately, this was not included in the warranty. The repair is taking a week for the part to arrive and will cost us $400. Can LG refund us our $400?

Who knows
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fridge is ok, wasn’t thrilled with shelves. Less thrilled with the almost impossible task of keeping it connected to wifi(which was my main “need”, instructions are horrible, as far as cosmetics. It’s great. I really think Best Buy should walk you through and hook it up for you, not for free, but when u pay for the install etc. kinda hard to troubleshoot ur phone, talking to an agent, pushing buttons for WiFi, connecting back to app. I’m tired of writing this as much as I am the disappointment of the WiFi feature. The app is more of an apple homekit/alexa sorta deal. I’ve got all that, I want the app to have the fridge and not try to make me connect everything in my house to ANOTHER 3rd party app. Check out the app before u buy.

Using it feels cheap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After receiving the fridge and using it, it's very clunkish. Not smooth like my previous Samsung, although a bit cheaper. I don't care for the way the freezer drawer jumps out as the door is fully opened. The handles are too close together. I didn't evaluate it thoroughly enough.
