    Great refrigerator to have it has a lot of room an space to put food and drink.It also has storage space to put frozen food in the freezer.

    Compressor

    We bought this fridge and loved it it is a smart design. After 5 years and three months our compressor went out and the warranty is only 5 years so we had to pay $450 for a replacement. Since it was a $3000 fridge it made sense. Our replacement compressor came with a 90 day warranty and it went out after 150 days. So no warranty. As long as you are OK with replacing the compressor for $1200 a year until you give up it is a great fridge. Assume the fridge new will last 5 years until that decision so $600 a year is what you are buying. Beware a review that is a recent purchase

    DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM BIG BOX STORES / LG

    PLEASE BE AWARE! I would give this brand a 'zero'! LG may be considered a good brand but once you buy it from Best Buy, you are on your own. Best Buy is not involved in any repairs or service and directs you straight to LG. I have this refrigerator for only 3 years and the compressor died. I have dealt with LG who could only find ONE repair person near my area, who is incompetent. I have been without a refrigerator for almost 8 days. Do not spend $3000+ on a LG refrigerator when you get no help, no one takes any responsibility and blames the customer, and has insufficient customer service. There is no urgency at all from anyone that I do not have a working refrigerator. I will NEVER buy an applicance from Best Buy, or any other Big Box store, as the wash their hands from it once they sell it to you, then LG's service is horrible as well as the incompetent service repair people they designate to fix it is frustrating. Never again. Stick to a brand that has been a long time workhorse like Maytag or any other brand that has many repairman in your area. Next time. I am only buying from an authentic appliance store who have their own repairmen.

    I absolutely love my refrigerator. It’s everything I wanted in a frig. It’s spacious, perfect temperature, & the glass door is ideal!

    Save yourself the headache and buy a whirlpool

    I'm only giving this 2 stars instead of one because I love the top drawer. If you are thinking about buying this, make sure you buy the 5 yr extended warranty instead of the 3 year. we bought this in 2018. Within 18 mos the ice maker was leaking and freezing all of the ice in the bin together. Ice maker was replaced. Our 3 yr warranty ran out in April, and the ice maker is leaking again! Today I opened the refrigerator door to find moisture on everything in there, and frost in the freezer. There has been a louder than normal humming. I'm just praying the compressor isn't breaking down. If you check out the LG Facebook page, you will find that is also a common problem, There was a class action suit that was settled, but the time limit has run out. BUYER BEWARE

    Is this timed to breakdown?

    Has been a wonderful appliance for 3 years + 2 weeks and the compressor failed. 3 year warranty expired 2 weeks ago. I’ve had appliances like this and this is the first to fail this quickly. Disappointed.

    Don't buy LG refrigerator,

    You may feel good of buying a new LG refrigerator, but after two years, you will start to regret your choice. Cause in two years, your refrigerator will stop to work like the one I have, and LG does not stand behind their product. They don't care if your refrigerator not working after changing the compressor. They don't care in the middle of summer, their customer has no refrigerator to use for more than half a month.

    Never Buy an LG fridge

    LG fridges notoriously have horrible compressors. They know they have a problem and continue to sell a shoddy product. Google LG compressors and several class action lawsuits will come up. If you buy an LG fridge plan on replacing the compressor every five years.

    Thumbs DOWN for LG Beautiful Coffin!

    Didn't last two years. Repeated service calls did not resolve recurring compressor and motor issues. Lost food on 4 occasions. Multiple refrigerator repair specialists stated that LG (and Samsung refrigerators) are the most notorious for motor failures. I can attest. Ended up purchasing a GE refrigerator from different retailer. So far, so good.

    Compressor failed

    As expected the compressor failed within 5 year. Lucky the compressor warranty (parts and labor) is 5 years so we were able to get it fixed for free but I am not keeping my hopes high and might replace it in next five years when it fails again

    it looks good, but this is a terrible refrigerator

    i originally purchased this refrigerator in october of 2020 and took delivery in december. the first refrigerator had a computer malfunction and would not produce ice or water. best buy replaced it and the second refrigerator was delivered on march 6, 2020. it stopped working on june 26, 2021. the freezer works but the refrigerator does not cool. since i purchased an extended warranty, i contacted the geek squad but was advised that the unit was still covered under the manufacturers warranty, so i had to contact LG. the repair person assigned by LG has not been able to repair the refrigerator and i have not had a working refrigerator for 43 days. LG provides zero customer service and they do not stand by their product. they have finally agreed to give us a refund, but we have not seen a check. LG has refused to adequately compensate us for our lost food, increased expenses and inconvenience. we have also contacted best buy and they have agreed to give us a refund as well since LG did not resolve the problem within 30 days. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR.

    stay away from LG

    I was told to never buy an LG or Samsung fridge from people in the know. They were right. This replaced a Samsung which lasted only 8 year before it couldn't keep the temp below 50. This is less than 2 years old and the temp range varied from 30 - 48 from day to day. Within the fridge it's below freezing at the top, so I get frozen items, to 46 degrees at the bottom where my milk spoils too quickly. I am going to take the loss, junk it and go with a GE, a reliable brand.

    Not durable

    Very good looking fridge, but don't be fooled. Got this 2 yrs ago and it quit working now. Big bills to fix. Cheap plastic through out including the doors, making you feel it may break anytime. Surely it has. Not recommended.

    We have only had issues with our LG French door fridge and have only owned it for 3 years. I would stay away from this brand. Pay more and buy from a better and more reputable company.

    Parts are not sturdy.

    I have had problems with this fridge since day 1. The glide and slide cover cracked so I needed a replacement. Unfortunately, geek squad was UNABLE to help. I had to call LG customer service to replace the part. not just that I had to replace the whole glide and slide drawer and the part to install the cover. (That’s extra money and this fridge is already expensive as it is!) This happened within a month from purchased. 5mos later, same problem, the cover cracked again! This fridge is not even a year yet and it’s falling apart already. I just want to return this fridge and replace it with something else. Is that still possible? I don’t think it’s worth the price. I expected the parts for this fridge to be sturdy since it’s worth more than 2k. It’s either I got a defective fridge or LG’s fridge just doesn’t have a good quality.
