I was originally quite skeptical of the usefulness of the door in door function but after a few weeks of using this fridge it is quite handy indeed. Especially during the summer here in Texas where opening the entire refrigerator just to grab a beverage causes the unit to lose a lot of cold air and allows moisture to enter the interior. Using the door in door limits this waste and allows the unit to keep fruits and vegetables at their desired humidity levels. Which by the way this refrigerator does very well. Fruits and veg keep much longer in this unit than any other previous unit I have used. Best part of this model is the vacuous bottom freezer and dual ice makers: a bin in the freezer and an ice maker for the thru the door dispenser. This is quite handy for those times you need lots of ice. The cubes in the bottom bin are much larger and therefor more ideal for mixed drinks whereas the door ice is more suited to making iced tea or adding ice to a soda. I've only owned this refrigerator a few weeks now but I am loving it thus far. PROS: Dual Ice maker, nice in door ice/water dispenser, lots of room, glass shelves, brightly lit with LED lighting, lots of room in both the freezer and the refrigerator, drawer systems operate smoothly, Door in door function quite useful CONS: The left door which houses the in door ice maker is heavier than the other door and takes a little getting used to.

I've had my new LG refrigerator for about 2 weeks and so far so good. Best Buy Geek Squad did a great job setting up the refrigerator. The stainless steel finish is beautiful. The lighting inside the refrigerator allows for a clear view of everything in the refrigerator. Love the dual ice makers and water dispenser. The bottom freezer and refrigerator have more than enough room to store essentials and left overs. The door in door feature is so convenient. No complaints yet.

I have only had this fridge for a month, but so far I am pretty happy with it. It is roomy on the inside, has adjustable shelves, quiet, and has great lighting. The only things I would say I don't like about it are: not as much room for condiments as I am used to. The door within a door is great, and fits large things, but the spaces on the inside of other door are small. The ice/water dispenser won't work when one of the doors is open - not a huge deal, but if someone is getting something and has the right door open, the person getting water has to wait. Sometimes the doors sort of slam shut, I guess because they are heavy with the extra fridge door/space. This also does not come in black stainless steel which is what we wanted, so had to sacrifice that because this fridge had everything else we were looking for. Other than those small things, I am happy with this fridge. We did a lot of research and this one had most of everything we were looking for. One of the only ones with dual ice maker as well, so if that is important to you, this is a great option.

Lots of refrigerator space. Easy to see contents of refrigerator. Pretty good shelf adjustability. Not so easy to see contents of freezer, but that's common to most bottom freezer designs. Freezer section could use more drawers, trays, and dividers. Refrigerator door-in-door is a nice feature, though not as handy as those on late 1980's vintage refrigerators (no flip down to use as a dispensing counter). Duel Ice makers are a handy feature, though the bin in the freezer section takes up a lot of space. Front controls are good for settings, but lack read out of actual conditions. Refrigerator doors and freezer drawer are not positive closing, so care needs to be taken each time to make sure full and proper closure is achieved. Open door alarm is too quite and not persistent enough. Water dispenser is located out front of ice dispenser and beyond the catch tray below, so watch out. Chilled water capacity is limited to only about 12 - 14 oz. at a time. Pretty quiet operation, but it does make a wide variety of low level sounds almost continually. Not bothersome, but can be difficult to tell if it is normal operation mode or if something else maybe going on.

It was between the LG and the Samsung and the LG won out. I like the look of the brushed stainless steel, the flat door handles (as opposed to the rounded door handles of the Samsung). I also love the roominess of the refrigerator and the ease of access to the freezer. I REALLY like that the freezer has an extra bin for overflow ice making which really comes in handy when filling up coolers for weekend sports tournaments! The kids LOVE the door-in-door feature and we use it all the time in the morning when accessing milk for cereal. I also love the little shelves within the door-in-door - they are perfect for storing and chilling the smaller sports drink bottles or the Caprisun pouches. Very happy with our purchase!

We love love love this fridge so far. We are completely in love with the dual ice maker. Haven't been close to running out. We haven't had a party, which would be the true testament, but I'm willing to bet it would up. I would probably dump the bin of ice in a Tupperware just to be sure there's plenty of ice for the party. The dual door is pretty cool too. We put our most used condiments and milk in the door so we don't have to open the fridge. Our beverages in the door are quite cool. The air filter does a great job at keeping the fridge fresh. The only thin I would change about this fridge is to add an additional pull out shelf. We don't have very many tall items, so we can get by with one pull out shelf. We feel that we have plenty of room for all our stuff. I don't think this fridge is loud at all.

I bought this refrigerator online (something I have never done) and then visited a store to be sure I had made the right choice. I was impressed and I got a good 4th of July sale price on this unit, which really helped. I have now had the refrigerator almost a month and I am very pleased thus far. This model has a door-in-door feature to allow items which are used often to be removed using only the outer door on the right side. This was an appealing feature to me. I also like the fact that it has 2 separate ice makers--one in the left side door and one in the freezer compartment in the upper level left side. They work independently of each other, so turning the ice on via the left front door panel will only active the in-door ice maker. This refrigerator makes a lot of ice, so if that is a need, this should really work well for you. There is ample freezer space and the refrigerator has 4 interior adjustable shelves, 3 fruit and vegetable bins, and a deli drawer below that. It is well organized.

We have had the fridge for a few weeks and so far we like it. I gave it four stars because you open both doors to get to an item. It would have been nice to open only one side but the middle items are easier to get to with both doors open. We do have kids so I see more smudges than I would have liked. The fridge is a great looking and we love the LED lights which make a difference when searching for items. The door-in-door is great and it makes the milk and juice easier to get. The ice maker and water dispenser are a great feature. Overall we are pleased with the fridge and style.

We really like the function and storage of this refrigerator. However, the fan driving air to the upper ice maker was loud and the temperature in the unit was higher than the door setting (42-44 vs 37). Since there is not an inner sensor you have to put your own in the fridge. In theory replacing the upper ice fan would address both issues. The service guy replaced the fan (basically the whole back panel in the freezer) and there was a bit less noise, but still more than expected based upon other reviews (it can be heard in an adjoining room in any case). Now the temperature in the fridge reads 26-30 vs 37 so we will have another visit from the tech to address that. Don't know if we got a lemon or not. Really like the functionality and storage, not thrilled based upon the noise and temperature control.

Overall the fridge has been fantastic! The space is amazing, and the door-in-door is a life safer. The only real complaint I have with the fridge is that when it goes through it's ice making cycle and the compressor is running full bore it can get loud. Not terribly loud, just enough for it to be heard through out my house.

Quiet , well lit inside, lots of room and convenient shelves. Door in door is a great option. Freezer has lots of space with a nice slide out drawer. Dual ice maker works great.

I've had this fridge for over a year now, and I love it. Very spacious, great lighting inside. My food lasts longer than my old fridge. Keeps internal temp nicely. Door in door, chime when door is left open, second ice maker, love it all.

Like door in a door feature. Excellent lighting and easy access. Refridgerator is great and roomy. Freezer needs smaller ice bin. Takes up way to much room. Freezer needs more bins.

This is a well designed refrigerator for style, convenience and acessability. It has a major limitation in that there is too great a temperature stratification in the refrigerator compartment (3-4°F between top and lower shelf. The temperature on lower shelf will be 1-2°F below set point. The GlideN'Serve drawer cannot be controlled low enough for proper meat storage (28°F) Note:I am a professional Meat Scientist with over 50 years experience in refrigerated food storage. Freezer compartment works very well and holds acceptable temperature uniformly. Ice makers and water dispenser work well

The first fridge delivered lasted six days before it broke. The next three weeks I had to plug and unplug the fridge to keep it working waiting on a new fridge. The next fridge delivered was dented on the side so it was rejected. We are on our third fridge and it is working. We like the space inside as well as the double ice maker. The adjustable shelves are nice. We like the freezer space. The fridge in generals runs quiet.

Bought this fridge after lookiing a quite a few. What sold us was the features. Door in door, double ice maker and size. The outside is nice but does attrack fingerprints and smudge marks. The inside is well lit and the pull out drawer makes it nice to store meat and other items that need to be seperated. We were surprised when we found ice already made in the freezer but we didn't notice the second ice maker until we got home. We choice this item over the comparable samsung because the top ice maker is in the door and not on the shelf. One annoying thing is that the crushed ice in not consistant and can make chunks of ice. Also, this fridge makes a vibrating noise every once in a while. Love the door in door as we use it often for our beverages. Overall a great fridge with lots of storage and we got it at a great price.

This refrigerator is very good. We are very happy with our choice. Lots of room in refrigerator and in freezer. Love the 2 ice makers. Food stays cold. We love the outer door for the beverages. This is especially nice because the one negative is the bulkiness of the right door, it is necessary due to the outer door. However, the door is hard to keep open without using an arm to keep it open or by pulling out the meat drawer to prop the door open. Not a big deal, thought it would be helpful to those considering this model or style.

Got a great deal as part of the pre black friday sales. Fridge is huge and we still haven't filled it up yet. Love the dual ice makers and door-in-door, although be aware that the temperature of the items in the outermost door only goes to about 50F, and not cold enough for milk or perishables. This is why they recommend just storing condiments here.

We've had it for 5 months at the time of this review and it has been great. I haven't had to replace the filter yet but it should be coming up on that soon. The extra icemaker in the drawer freezer is great as the door icemaker will not hold enough when entertaining. Also, you can shut off the icemaker in the drawer if you don't need as much ice. The shelving inside is functional also. The door in door feature is much more handy and useful than you would think and value wise much better than a window or an absolutely unnecessary lcd screen. The noise it makes is not bad. It does rumble a bit but that is totally normal as it makes ice and the motor runs. We are so happy with this unit we wanted a bigger one, but it wouldn't fit.

We researched refrigerators for several months and decided on this LG Door and Door dual Ice maker unit. This unit is very spacious and has an outside door to keep the quick serve items. This door allows you to grab a quick drink without opening the full door, keeping cold air in. There are several inside drawers for meats, vegetables and nice deep shelves. The dual ice maker will keep you fully stocked on ice and the water is so convienent! The freezer is at the bottom and has another internal freezer drawer. Get the geek squad protection plan! We were so glad we did. Our first unit came with an ice maker that had issues. We had to replace with this unit and have wonderful success! Great refrigerator!
