Customers have good things to say about the spaciousness, storage space, and the door-in-door feature. They appreciate the easy access to items and the beautiful design. However, some customers have concerns about the ice maker being slow, the compressor failing, the short warranty, and the overall reliability of the refrigerator.

I love my new refrigerator. It works well. Ice cube are a bit on the smaller side and container doesn't hold much ice once made. It has ample space for all of our family needs

My wife loves this fridge. The only problem so far is buying enough food to fill it up. It’s got a lot of room and the door option for items you need more often is great. You don’t lose any cold air by just opening the door inside the door to get quick items.

I wasn’t sure I needed a fridge as big as this one but it fit and now I can consolidate 2 into 1.
Love the door in door because it keeps the cooled air in while I reach for my 2 liter bottles. Salesman was very helpful and answered my questions on the spot.

More Refrigerator than you'll ever need

My wife and I are totally pleased with the LG refrigerator. Normally there are only two of us using the refrigerator, but it is very nice to have the extra capacity when friends and family come over. We have been using the refrigerator for two weeks now, and everything is functioning perfectly. The ice maker and water cooler are connected to a reverse osmosis system, so I have disconnected the inline filter: one because it isn't necessary and two the filter will act as another pressure drop, as the RO source is at a pressure significantly less than direct connect to house pressure. It is pricey for more purchasers, but I recommend strong consideration be given this LG model.

Only had it a little over a month. Lots of room to find items. Door in door, is a nice feature. Can open the outer door to get commonly used items like drinks or butter without letting out the cold air from the large compartment. The chest type freezer has two sliding shelves so all the frozen food is not barried at the bottom making you have to dig to look for items like the old style. The ice container is small but that is a usual complaint for all bottom freezers so far. I am only giving it a good rating because i have not had it long enough to really rate its preformance.

Nice and large, the ice maker is a little small and the added draw, no to sure about the center drawer. Probably would have rather had more spce in Frig or Freeze.

I had a similar LG model prior that was 30 cubic feet so I needed to replace it with one that was roughly the same size. That was the major point for choosing this product. The prior model was only 6 years old so a bit disappointed when it went and hoping for longer life on this go round. Have had the fridge for about 2 months now and really like the additional drawer. It does take away a bit of the space in the fridge and freezer sections but is very handy and allows for different temps for different foods. The water filter is in the door and not on the top which gives some additional room which is also a plus. The door within a door is also a nice plus and upgrade for me which makes it easy to get milk and juice out and other small items that are accessed often. I would recommend this fridge to anyone looking for a larger capacity and or looking for an upgrade from a prior french door LG model.

This is a well thought out fridge except for one thing. The ice maker is tiny. Double the size and it would be perfect. A large family will not like it for this.

Haven't had it very long, but so far it's great.
Couldn't pass up the open box price.
Only downfall so far is the water just trickles out.
Haven't had time to call geek squad yet.

The only draw back is the 2 drawers in the freezer section aren't the easiest to use and hold very little. The drink drawer would be nice if a 12 oz. can could actually stand upright. Other then that, we couldn't be more satisfied with it!!

It is high maintenance because it leaves every fingerprint on the fridge. I do love the drawers in the freezer part and the " cool select pantry" is wonderful.

Love all the separate doors and drawers. We've been keeping the most used items in the drawer and half door. Kids can open these area to get a drink without letting all the cold air out of the refrigerator. Food lasts longer. I don't have to yell at them to stop standing there with the door open.
I like having the freezer on the bottom. When the refrigerator door is closed, there is no more 'freezer door popping open' like you get with the old style fridge with the freezer on the top.
I also like the fact that the refrigerator is on the top. I spend most of the time going in the refrigerator part, not the freezer part and I don't have to been over anymore to see what is the in the bottom, shoved in the back.

Water/Ice unit leaks!

The Good: Initially, I thought it a great fridge that definitely offers a ton of space, which is perfect for my growing family. The small drawer is perfect for snacks and baby food. The quick access are in the front is also really handy. The French door design keeps the things that you need to get to most often at easiest reach.
The Bad: It get marks and fingerprints very easily and isn't the easiest appliance to clean. To add to the issue, the water spout out front sprays really hard and often splashes onto the front of the stainless finish. I spend more time than I'd like cleaning it. Also the light on the front shines out toward you and not down to where you place your cup for water or ice. Because of this, it is blindingly bright and really annoying.
The Ugly: I have two MAJOR issues with this fridge. First, the touch pad that you use to select ice type and lighting simply doesn't work most of the time. I have to press buttons several times and very hard to get the touch pad to work. The model in the store did not have this issue (one of the reasons we bought this one over another model). Second, the water/ice unit leaks. There is constantly a small puddle in the front of the refrigerator and drops of water on the floor. This can be dangerous if you have small children who use the kitchen a their own personal racetrack. I have had this fridge for just over a month and have had the part replaced by Geek Squad to no avail. Because if this, I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. I would expect a $3000 fridge to work without any issue.

I love this appliance. The refrigerator is big enough for all my items, the lights inside light it up so that I can see in the back as well as the front. Love the drawer, right now it is holding my chocolate!! But will use it for cheese, yogurt, etc. It is great, I love it and am very happy with it. Love the water and ice dispensers. The space is large enough for a travel bottle or pitcher. Two choices of ice, perfect for using in smoothies, etc. Ice cubes are smaller than normal so you can get more in the glass. This is one great item all the way. I love it.

What a great fridge! Very spacious. The led lights make everything inside visible. The drawer is perfect for the kids' snacks. The easy access door is perfect for a gallon of milk and other drinks. So happy we purchased this fridge. I would recommend it to everyone.

After much headache and way to many service calls. Found out my Samsung fridge could not be fixed. Good thing, I got a store credit from Samsung to get another refrigerator. I decided to go with the LG version of the refrigerator. So far it has been a good unit. I actually have more space in the LG over the Samsung. I like the fact that the ice maker is in the door out of the way. This provides more room for storage. The ice maker produces enough ice and doesn't bog down like the Samsung.

We have only had this refrigerator for a few weeks but love the convenience of the door-in-door and the CustomChill drawer. We can get to almost everything we regularly use by opening these smaller compartments. We also like the roll out drawers in the freezer. It was a good choice for us.

We looked at several refrigerators but usually came back to this one. We love the small ice maker so it doesn't take up room. We also like the door in door. This has been an adjustment for us because our last refrigerator and freezer was full size, meaning two full size units side by side. It is very deep and being short it's sort of hard to get to the back of the fridge but there is plenty of room. Unfortunately for us we mixed this one up with another similar one and thought the chill drawer was a freezer. We've come to terms with it and will not buy as much frozen products. The unit itself is great.
