They are not as sturdy as past models. Lots of technology and gadgets that can break. Sometimes simplicity is the best solution.

Very undependable. Ice maker, compressor and other miscellaneous errors.

Refrigerator compressor gave out after 2yrs. Took 6 days to get tech out to service and cost $375 to repair.

First LG fridg lasted a little over a yr. One manager says one thing about replacement and another says something else.

Was having problems with this from day one after 3 years stop working

After looking at both the Samsung equivalent and this appliance I really wanted to get the Samsung...then I did my research and talked to Pacific Sales in the store and researched BB online reviews as well as CNET and other sources. My daughter also has a Samsung fridge similar (but smaller) to the one I wanted. One disturbing comment I found in several reviews was that the Samsung was noisy; some people even said it vibrated the entire floor. I asked my daughter about this and she verified that, at nite when the house was quite, the compressor from the fridge was indeed loud. So I went with the LG. I ordered the appliance on 23-Nov-15 and waited...and waitied...and waited. It finally showed up on Sat 30-Jan-2016. I had sold the previous fridge on Craig's list and had the delivery guys load it onto the buyer's truck. He drove off happy. Then they unboxed my new fridge and I was not happy to see 4 large dents - 2 on right door and 2 larger ones on the freezer drawer. Ugh...The delivery driver said he could have me a new one on Tuesday, which wasn't too bad. We had put all our perishable stuff in our outside fridge that normally just holds drinks and beer. I received a call from Pac Sales on Monday saying that they had no more of this appliance in stock and they did not know when they would get more. Seriously?! What I learned was that, for the Houston area, all deliveries for these appliances come out of a warehouse in Dallas. The Pac Sales guy told me they had received a alert from their central warehouse that the supply for this particular refrigerator was severely constrained and that LG was advising all retailers to warn customers of this fact. Ugh again. I couldn't yell at the Pac Sales guy in the BB store because this was clearly out of his control but I sure wanted to yell at someone! So if you want this fridge (and it is worth waiting for) just be prepared for an extended wait until LG can satisfy the demand. I finally got the refrigerator on Tues 16-Feb-2016 - a bit over 2 weeks after the first one. I've only been using it for just under 2 weeks now but we absolutely love it. We went with a larger fridge than we'd previously owned so that around the holidays we'd have enough room to store all the food we prepared for our family dinners. I'm giving this fridge 5 stars because, once we got it and began using it, my wife and I both love it. It's quiet and I love the middle drawer that has 3 temperature options. I also love the quick-access area on the right door where you can open just the outer door for milk, juice, butter, etc. If I change my mind in a few months I'll update my review but so far, it's looking good! Just a quick note about the installation: they did have to remove all the doors and drawers to get it thru the 36" front door which worried me just a bit. But they seemed to know what they were doing and I learned how to disassemble the doors if I ever need to. I'll also add that the delivery guys were top notch, knowledgeable and friendly.

The refrigerator is nice but side store doesn't seal shut as it should.
