Not bad not bad. Still getting used to the sound quality. Hopefully it improves.

So far it’s been a really terrible product especially for the price & it sucks because it’s small like I need it to be. It constantly just stops working & you have to go unplug the hdmi cord & then plug it again. Over & over, sometimes 5x in an hour. It will look like it’s on but the sound just stops coming out. It has completely turned itself off also. Sound from it isn’t great either. Voices are not any clearer when trying to get that effect & when trying to have a more cinema like experience with bass, etc there is no difference either. Owned for almost a month now

This is my first soundbar on my new tv and I tell you it makes the sound better.

We wanted to upgrade our tv sounds, shoot who don’t like hearing a good movie. Well I thought LG tv why not LG soundbar. Didn’t want to spend an arm ad a leg, just something simple and with decent sound. It looked really nice. Fit perfectly under the tv. Connecting it to the tv was easy. Even got it to pair really easy with our remote. Thought this is just what we needed. Yeah…nope…this unit is garbage…it sounds all muffled. Like something was covering the speakers. Yes we went through and read the manual and tried to adjust what we could. It just didn’t sound that good at all. It was so bad I unplugged it and used the tv speakers again and was like that sounds so much better. But I still wanted a sound bar. Well back to Best Buy for a return. Best Buy was really good about returning it. I ended up getting the another unit and am happy with the way it sounds now.

The LG Éclair SE6S soundbar is a nicely configured single unit soundbar that provides numerous connectivity options and sound excellent. This soundbar comes well packaged and includes the sound bar, power cables, an HDMI cable, a remote control, mounting brackets, a mounting template and a quick start guide. You do have to provide the screws if you decide to use the mounting brackets. The unit itself is solidly constructed and is encased in premium fabric to enhance its look and feel and provide some sound enhancement. LG is committed to a better tomorrow and the unit is constructed with no less than 12% post-consumer recycled content that has been validated by UL. It comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. The device also supports both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Let’s discuss the further features and functions of this device and then I will provide my insights on using it. The device features cinema sound capabilities that are enabled though Dolby Atmos and DTS-X (and 7 other types of surround sound formats) to enable the sound to envelop you on all sides to create an immersive sound environment. This sound on the low end is enhanced through 4 passive radiators that enables powerful bass performance within the units small design. The sound bars sound spectrum though is full and complete. This is a 3.0 channel system with 20 W Center and 2x 20W Front speakers. Setup is quick and easy and allows for connectivity via HDMI, Optical, USB, Wi-Fi (including Spotify and TIDAL Connect compatibility), and Bluetooth. The device supports Chromecast and Apple AirPlay 2. The device supports HDMI pass though with 4k and HDR supported. The device is setup with the WOW interface that would allow one to control both the soundbar and an LG TV with a single remote. Additionally the device supports WOWCAST capabilities allowing wireless connectivity between the TV and the Soundbar and supports Dolby Atmos. The device also features a passthrough refresh rate of up to 120Hz that allows one to enhance your gameplay by keeping the sound in sync with the video. In my testing I found the sound bar to support all of my needs that I would use this for including Bluetooth connectivity from multiple devices, connecting to my TV as a sound device. The device sounds great and supports a wide audio range with powerful bass performance. Overall, this device is well built and delivers great sound. Pros: relatively compact sound bar, great sound, connectivity options Con: Lack of mounting screws being included (very minor)

Honestly I thought this was going to have way more sound output. A little upset with my purchase but at the same time it was easy to set up and is compact like I needed. Just thought there would be more sound.

This is a good soundbar if you plan to use it in a small and medium sized bed room. The dimension is quite compact, which is great, and the price is a notch above entry level soundbar. In terms of performance, well, it’s good but not great. The soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision and there’s HDMI port as well as the good old optical port. It also has both Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity. Upgrading the soundbar to the latest firmware is easy enough through the iOS app. The soundbar is loud enough for a small room and it can also work for a medium sized room or even a living room. The sweet spot is a medium sized bedroom. Performance wise, the soundbar’s audio characteristics are geared more to movies instead of music. While the soundbar supports Dolby Atmos contents, spatial awareness is not that great and that is pretty normal for a 3.0 soundbar. Speech is clearly audible so that’s good for watching movies and tv programs such as news. Overall listening experience when watching a movie is much better than using built-in TV speakers. For music, it’s quite a different story. The soundbar does not perform bad for playing music, it’s just that I would’ve liked it more if the soundbar is capable to give more oomph at the low frequencies. Same case for high frequencies; would’ve liked it more if frequencies response is better. Overall, it’s not bad at all and very much likely to be significantly better than playing music straight from the TV’s built-in speakers.

Needs a subwoofer. Underpowered and Unimpressive. .

While this is my first LG Soundbar, it’s not my first soundbar. In fact, I purchased a competitor’s product a few months back. I didn’t care for it at all, so I returned it just weeks later. Sound quality is very important to me, and not just for music. Clarity of the spoken word is close to being the most important quality for me. Enter the LG SE6S Soundbar. What a nice improvement! And though LG says that their soundbars work best with LG TV’s, it is working just fine on my Hisense 65”. I have the Soundbar and TV connected by way of an HDMI cable to the ARC port. Once the HDMI cable was connected to both, my TV automatically identified the connection as being the ARC port, and great sound came from the soundbar as soon as I began streaming a movie. Volume Up and Down volume can be controlled with both the Hisense TV remote and by the LG Soundbar’s remote. When the soundbar is lying flat on its back, you can see three LEDs illuminated on its side – each combination of on/off LED meaning something unique. It might mean that the units are connected by way of Optical/HDMI ARC port, or that Bluetooth is ready to be used, or that it’s Wi-Fi ready. And so on. One of my first tasks was to install the LG Soundbar app. This app lets you control specific aspects of the unit. One, for example, I used the app to make the Soundbar Wi-Fi enabled to my network. I haven’t tried linking to the soundbar from other devices, but it’s there for when I need it. Other features include, but are not limited to, the following: • Amazon Alexa: It is Amazon Alexa integrated but for the integration to work you’ll need to log into a valid Amazon account. Doing so lets you listen to music, news, and other information for your region. • Night Time: This reduces the intensity of sound if it is getting late at night. • AI Room Calibration: This optimizes the sound for wherever the Soundbar is located. • Speaker Adjustments: Let’s you adjust the internal speakers so they work/sound best for you. • LEDs: Lets you adjust the brightness of the LEDs. • Software Updates: This is one way of getting Soundbar software updates. The Soundbar’s remote has a number of built-in function buttons, aside from the obvious Power button. One button is called Sound Effects, and each press of the button changes to a different sound effect. For example: • AI Sound Pro: Artificial intelligence selects the optimal sound settings to suit your content. • Standard: You can enjoy optimized sound. • Cinema: Play content with 3D sound similar to a movie theater. • Clear Voice Pro: Voice sound clear, improving the quality of voice sound • Sports: Realistic sound like you’re in a stadium • Music: You can enjoy better sound optimized for music. • Game: Optimized sound for game • Bass Blast (BASS BLAST+): Bass sounds are enhanced. A button called Sound Tuning will do the following: • To make this work, press the Sound Tuning button and then Left/Right button to select the desired speaker. Then press the up/down buttons to increase or decrease the sound volume on that speaker. The three speakers you can control are the Center Speaker, Treble and Bass. A Bluetooth Button is also available: • It allows you to pair your Bluetooth device such as a smartphone to this product for three minutes. I admit I don’t understand the three minutes part of this, unless that means that you have three minutes to successfully pair. Perhaps once paired, it’s paired from then on. An Information Button: • This button appears as 3 dots. When pressed, it verbally states the status of the Soundbar. I’ve been using the SE6S Soundbar for a while now, and I can say that I really like it. I use the Sound Effects button a ton, with Clear Voice Pro, Cinema, Music, and Sports being my favorites. I never play games, so I can’t speak to that one. And the AI Sound Pro option is no slouch either. Although this unit isn’t physically imposing, it packs a lot of good features that thus far have perfectly met my needs. As such, I am giving the SE6S a 5-star rating.

The LG Eclair 3.0 soundbar is not a complicated project to set up. I was surprised at how lightweight it was, the packaging weighed almost a much as the unit itself. Not much to it--the bar, a few cables, power adapter and a remote. I chose the optical cable connection since it allows everything coming in to the TV to be outputted to the LG Eclair. For something in this price bracket, the sound is a little less than I expected. The bass is deep but not really very impressive. There are the usual available sound schemes matched to sports, theater and music that you can cycle through with the remote, I didn't find them to be that different from each other. The sound is high quality and balanced though, and sounds very good especially with music videos and action-filled movies. It comes with a pair of metal brackets and basic small screws to mount it directly to a TV but I chose to just leave it in front of the TV. It has that modern gray fabric kind of covering to it that just loves to attract dust so I guess it will need to be vaccumed from time to time. Sounds great though.
