Almost perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into the store expecting to hate this phone. But the display is wonderful-much better than the HTC 1 and the S4. Colors are bright but not overly saturated like the S4 and the Droid Maxx. The display doesn't seem as bright as it could be outdoors in bright sun but more than adequate otherwise. The camera is excellent especially for close ups and the camera interface is very complete. So if you want a Droid and need a good camera this is it. Some features on the current camera software are really great. I love that I can meter based on a particular spot in my scene. That is a real big feature, something many other phone cameras seem to lack. Low light performance is good-I think better than the S4 and HTC one. If you use HDR, the phone's HDR feature does not work well but second party HDR apps work great. The phone has great specs and is extremely fast and responsive but it doesn't have the fancy hands off feature of the Moto X or new Droids. One cool feature is the wireless storage feature which allows you to have your phone as another device on your network for transferring files. This works through Wi-Fi rather than Bluetooth and if you take lots of pictures with the phone or want to upload or down load audio files this is great-though I bit slow. Call quality is good and clear and reception is excellent. I also bought the Tone+ LG's bluetooth funky audio accessory and it works great but it is a bit pricey. Battery life is great. You can easily get over 24 hours with moderate use. Right after getting this phone I spent a day on the Konza prairie taking pictures and got 4 hours of screen time which involved uploading photos to the cloud and e-mail and FB. Oh the VZ one has inductive charging-I bought the LG pad but apparently other pads work. The big downside I see is the phone's build which is plastic. However the phone does feel more solid than the S4. I slapped on VZ's silicone case and quite frankly there are not a whole lot of case options since the VZ version is a bit thicker than the version on the other carriers. Users may not like the rear buttons but for me it is a worthwhile trade-off to get a pocketable phone with such a big display. Besides with LG's knock on feature allows you to turn the screen on or off by tapping it. I find that I rarely use the rear buttons. Some of the software features are overkill and not particularly use but you can do a lot of customization and pretty much ignore those features you don't like. As you can tell I really like this phone especially at the current price point. It's not perfect but what phone is.

Great phone, impressed with LG!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my LG G2 at the end of October and since then have found a ton of things I love and only a few things I don't. What I love: The screen is huge with the bezel, my husband has a note 3 and can't believe my phone screen is only 1/2'' smaller. It's a great screen for video and pictures. The camera takes fantastic pictures. I have a dslr and am usually unimpressed with phone camera's but I really like this one. I take a lot of pictures inside with lower light and it works well . Verizon's network. I just switched to verizon from us cellular. I can't believe how fast the 4G LTE, it rivals my wi-fi at home most days. If you are thinking of switching companies I say go for it. The battery life!!!! I'm a pretty average user. I check facebook often, take some pictures, send texts, sometimes I'll listen to the radio. With my normal routine this phone battery can last me almost 2 days!! Which is great bc I frequently forget to charge my phone at night. Even with heavy use, as in listening to music for 12 hours at work, I still had about 15% juice when I got home. The battery is amazing, LG really did this well. The power button. I actually love the power button location. ( not the volume though). When I press the power button it's typically in my hand so my finger is right there. The knock on feature is AWESOME! Yes, sometimes I have to knock a couple times, but with my other smartphones the power button would be slow every once in a while too. 9 times out of 10 it works great. Such a simple feature but so useful! What I don't love so much: Bloatware, verizon has a decent chunk of bloatware on here. I wish they would let you remove it. I don't watch football, why do I need nfl mobile permanently installed? Volume buttons. As much as I like the power button on the back I wish the volume ones were still on the side. I will listen to music at work with my phone on a table or desk so it gets a little annoying to pick it up. But the compromise is worth it for the screen. Also, Verizon changed the button on the back from the other carriers, which leads to the next issue. Lack of cases. Because the buttons are different than sprint, att&t, etc, there are fewer cases for this phone available at the moment. My local best buys had zero cases for it. I found the incipio case but didn't care for it. I tried looking at their online selection and was unimpressed. I ended up buying a Trident case off amazon. I really like it, it would be nice if best buy would carry a few more options for this phone. YOU MUST BUY A CASE and I HIGHLY recommend a case that's been drop tested. I really love this phone but here are a couple recommendations. Buy a case, no joke, order one now if you haven't. 3 weeks after I bought my phone I dropped it 8 inches onto a hard surface and the screen cracked causing the top half of the screen to not function. The good news is that I had the Geek Squad protection for it. I took it to best buy the next day and the gave me a loaner (Which was awful). Yes it was a bit of a wait but the geek squad policy is great. because the g2 was so new there wasn't really access to parts or refurbs yet. So after 14 days if they can't get the parts they just give you a new one off the shelf at day 15. I ended up waiting the full two weeks, but had I not been out of state I would have been given a brand new phone 5 days after mine had been cracked. Again, it was busy when I went to pick it up but it was worth is for a new phone, and after two weeks it was sorely missed! I've had a great experience with both the LG G2 and best buy when it comes to this purchase.

2 plus weeks and still in love overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st, I'm not a fanboy for any brand or OS. I like what I like and don't believe in trashing another brand simply because I'm biased toward another specific brand. Buy what YOU want based on YOUR needs. That being said I love this phone. Fitting a larger 5.2 screen and not making the phone all that much bigger was a great idea and the display is beautiful. Knock On works great and I use it to wake my phone up constantly. As for speed, yes the phone is a beast (until someone else comes out with the latest and greatest- which will always happen#. As far as the buttons on the back, I was open to the idea and saw the logic #some people don't like change when they are used to something else#. My issue is that Verizon changed the size and feel of the buttons. The nice hump #power button# that divides volume up/down on other carriers has been removed and now the keys feel too similar, so when I try to raise the volume, I'm constantly turning the phone off #sleep# instead. For me, this isn't a deal breaker because I love everything else about the phone #except speakerphone quality- loudness is almost decent, but Motorola does mono speakers better). A special note- get your reviews here on BB because Verizon will delete reviews that don't flatter them. I praised the phone but criticized their design change- exactly as I have done here- guess what? My review magically disappeared. In any case, when buying- look at it, feel it, use it, compare it. If it works for you buy it. There is NO perfect phone- for me specifically, this G2 comes close and I love it!

Fast performance, 5.2 inch cristal HD screen and h
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a G2 at a Verizon store today. Best phone on Verizon. First of all, I like the 5.2 inch screen , which seems to be a size between GalaxyS4 and GalaxyNote2. With long battery life. Tested some apps and internet Browser. Fast response/performance. Camera is also fast and clear (Optical image optimization). Lastly, Rear button approach is a bit odd in the beginning but I'm totally sold on the double-tap to unlock. No need to try to find rear button for the power switch.

CUSTOMIZED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a lot of choices to pick from and the LG G2 was my final decision. I ultimately chose this phone for one big reason, the price point! the other phone that i was looking to get was the galaxy S4. I looked at many many reviews battling the g2 and s4. very close match up with real world speeds and not just statistics. The s4 slightly beats the g2 in many aspects but that did not sway my choice at all. the price did. if you are looking for quality in speakers... dont get this phone. if you are looking for speed, multi tasking, 1080p quality, battery life this is for you. if you want a battery that comes out and extend your memory look for the s4. For my preferences; I dont care about the battery being able to come out or put more memory in it. it has 24 gb of usable memory. enough for me. the buttons on the back does not bother me and it has a feature to turn it on with two taps of the screen. To me this phone is very impressive in almost every aspect of a smart phone should have. i highly reccomend this phone to anyone that wants a android phone and not have to pay the price for a s4. by the way I bought this phone in-store and it was 99 dollars.

Amazing Screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had the phone a couple days but so far I am enjoying it. The screen is amazing. The bezels are so thin that it just makes the screen seem even that much better. Battery life has been really, really solid in a lot of constant use. Verizon changed the buttons on the back from every other version to make room for wireless charging. I do not like them but I am overlooking it for now. They are not as flush as they should be. I cannot emphasize how fast this phone is. Blew me away in store. The LG Android version is quite the Samsung TouchWiz wanna be but I have tweaked it enough now so it is not bothering me about useless features. One tip, enable the QSlide button in the notification tray, click it so it removes the QSlide row from the notification are, and you will have a much uncluttered notification area. The speaker on the phone seems a little weak so if that is important, I would go with HTC One or Moto X. Also, this phone is about the size of a Samsung S4 even though the screen is bigger. I would check it out in store to see if the size is right for you. Crazy fast phone..cannot emphasize that enough... And just for good measure, the Verizon branding on the phone is absurd.

Way more than I was expecting, honestly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I had an Iphone 4s, which I SWORE I would never want to trade in. I was really happy with that phone. Then came IOS 7....which completely changed everything (for the worse!). We went to Best Buy to upgrade and looked at what was available. My husband picked the HTC One and I got a Samsung Galaxy s4. He loved his phone and I thought I had a good phone. Long story short, I went through 2 Galaxy phones in a week. Both glitched and battery life was beyond poor! (6-10 hours from full charge to >10%) When I had to bring back the SECOND Galaxy, I was pretty frustrated. We talked to one of the sales guys and he brought our attention to the LG....which thank goodness he did because there were no displays for it in the Verizon section so I had no clue it was available. Honestly, I owned one LG phone and, although I LOVE their TVs and sound systems, I was not a fan of their phone. But my mind is changed. Battery life is amazing, very quick, very smooth and I think it's visually more appealing than the Samsung...I LOVE IT. Just a really well put together phone.

Good start
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't wait for the next version of the phone and hopefully they have caught up to what Samsung is doing our at least try to finish the upgrades they started. To me the phone seems like they had all these great ideas of what a smartphone should be and then stated to make it and then just quit and settled for what they had done so far.

Get something else.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is so much great to say great about the phone but it all is taken away by the build quality. I can go from the glass on the screen being really fragile and scratch really easy. To the buttons on the back over time starting to stick. And I only had the phone for less then a month. But my biggest issue with the phone again has to be the screen and digitizer. I happened to drop it once without its case and the screen shattered. And the screen shattering isn't my issue, with this phone having the screen broken the touch screen completely doesn't work, no touch response at all. So my advice would be try and stay away from this product.

Verizon version of G2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the G2 outright the day it came out. Coming from an Iphone 5, I was ready to make the switch to android and didn't want to wait for the Note 3. Co-worker has the G4 and doesn't seem to be that impressed with it due to lots of lag. So far the phone has been great. The battery can last me 2 days if I try but easily gets me through day and half. I think the screen size is perfect. I can still use 1 hand for operation. The back buttons take some getting use to. the tap screen feature to wake phone works..most of the time. I have powered the phone off once while talking due to my finger pushing the power button but I do like the volume rocker. The sound is just ok. I suspect that if Verizon would have left the bottom of the phone alone and not do away with one of the speakers on the bottom like the international version has, the sound would a lot better So I don't really mind Verizon putting their logo on the front..whatever. What I freaking hate is that Verizon just had to change the phone up for them and change the buttons on the back to where Otterbox's and Spigen G2 cases will NOT fit for Verizon when they comes out. I don't understand why Verizon though wireless charging was such a great feature to change the back plate enough to not be compatible with the other carrier's version..oh wait..yes i do...$$. Which brings me to what I think the biggest problem with phone is as of now and that the severe lack of accessories. You can't walk into a Best Buy and expect to get any type of rugged case for it. Verizon only carries a cheap hard silicone in the stores for the phone. Like others have said, I do still notice a lag even with the horsepower that this phone has. I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak for how the phone does on that end. I like the keyboard for texting and I've had no problems with the call quality

Life is Good with the G2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than my terrible experience at Best Buy getting the phone where I waited 2 hours, got a clueless salesperson, and then got a store manager who was more interested in text messaging her boyfriend than explaining / selling your product, everything else is great. My Samsung "Charge" phone needed to be charged every 4 hours even when it was not being used. I had my new LG G2 with me on one of the greatest days of my life when my son was born and it performed like a champion. After 3 days of not being charged, taking hundreds of pictures, making phone calls, reading e-mails, and sending text massages the battery was still at 20%. The camera on the G2 is outstanding. I have video and still pictures that look amazing and have incredible detail. It captured the birth of my son flawlessly. People who have seen the pictures asked me if I had a professional photographer. Even in low light the pictures came out nice. My first cell phone years ago was an LG. It did not have the features of today's cell phones, but it was unique because it read the names of the callers and was a quality phone. I am very glad I did my research and came back to LG for my new phone. Other than the poor excuse for service at Best Buy, I would rate this phone a solid 9.5 out of 10. I really like this phone. Thank you LG!

Awesome smartphone with a few flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has everything! Super fast processor, gorgeous screen, slim and great battery life. I am a light user and can get almost 3 days use before having to charge it. Every app and game has run flawlessly! The weak speaker, creaks in the case and not so great LG apps keep this from being the perfect phone.

Poor choice in devices, but could be worse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this device for the upgrade fee and the Best Buy chick when I bought it made it so I kept my unlim data, she rocked!!, so I didn't return it. That said... The pros: The camera is great in good light. The screen is fairly bright outside in bright sunlight. The battery is excellent for the first 3 or so months. The cons: The GPS deteriorated significantly on my first device after a few months to where it is nearly worthless. The subsequent 5 replacement devices have had the same issue. LG is currently "repairing" the GPS for the third time on my 4th certified like new replacement, while I'm using my 5th replacement which arrived with a defective earpiece speaker and flaky camera. I am not holding my breath that this issue will ever be resolved. The screen is not viewable in landscape mode when wearing polarized glasses. The camera is completely worthless in low light for snapshots (6 or so seconds to focus, flash, take picture with second flash, and still the photo comes out with severe high ISO noise blur). The battery significantly decreases in capacity after 3 months (from all day every day to 6 - 12 hours). The plastic back collects every fingerprint, you literally have to wear gloves to put it in a case. The screen and back scratch easily. The camera lens scratches even easier. The included 1.8 amp charger takes longer to charge this phone than my older 1 amp Samsung charger takes to charge this phone...it works faster on most other devices though (poor engineering by LG). The speaker is very low in volume. The volume down button has had a sticking problem on 3 of the 6 LG G2 devices I've possessed.
