The best qualities I find with the G3 are the camera and video, no other device that compares to this one. The battery life is very good, lasts me about 30 hours. I put in an Otter Box and it becomes a rugged very well equipped and full featured smart phone. Quick boot up and shut down. Apps work without fail.

I purchase all of my Sprint cell phones from Best Buy, they have some great deals and the tech support in the Cell Phone department go above and beyond to make sure my phone is ready for use before I leave the store.

I've waited a long time to get a new phone. (The phone I just got rid of was 4 years old) I wanted to make sure it was a fast/reliable/high quality phone, but I didn't want it to require a degree in computer engineering to be able to use. I've had my eye on this phone for a bit and when it went on sale on cyber Monday I was extremely excited. The picture quality is amazing and the HD pictures really pop out at you. It's super quick and the ROM/RAM capacity is more than enough for the average person. Just in case you ever run out of memory it can hold an extra 128 GB sdcard. Best of all, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to use. There's tips and guides that walk you through some things at the beginning but most of them I probably would've figured out on my own in a fairly short amount of time.
This phone has met and exceeded my expectations and I've been showing it to everyone and telling them to buy it.

I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I love the large 5.5" quad HD display. Having the buttons on the back seems weird at first but I actually prefer it. The only time it's a pain is when the phone is on a table and you want to adjust the volume because you have to pick up the phone and set it back down. Knock on and knock off is really nice, I rarely use the power button. Performance is good, I don't play games but I'd imagine it'd do great. The pictures look stunning and video is wonderful, especially in 4k. My one major complaint is heat. The phone does tend to get quite warm to the touch, especially around the power button after extended use. The battery gets me anywhere from 1-2 days on a full charge depending on usage. The software works good with each other and overall has minimal to no ui lag. Where I notice it the most is when I open the app switcher, but that didn't start until I installed Android 5.0.1.
If there is one thing to take away from this review... Get the 32GB model because it has 3GB of RAM. Sprint only sells the 32GB model, but Verizon and possibly AT&T still sell the 16GB model which only has 2GB of RAM.

I have had this phone well over a month now. It is the most customizable phone I have ever owned. The best part is if you don't understand or know how to use it or customize it there is a ton of Youtube videos to show you how complete with tricks and hidden features. This is a big screen phone that fits in the hand very well. Battery life has been great! Camera takes great photos and does video very well. This phone may not be the latest or greatest in the spec department or even the fastest but in real life this phone keeps up with the new phones on the block. If you are looking for a great phone at a great price with a ton of how to's this is a great phone to buy!!!!!!

LG G3 Stacks Up Well Even 2 Years After Release

I was looking for a stopgap phone after my Nexus 5 battery failed prematurely and no replacement could be sourced.
I was looking for something low cost ($1 via Sprint 2-year contract extension) that would work well for me in the next 6 to 12 months and then still have enough life to be a serviceable backup, which minimizes need for any insurance.
I'm happy with the G3 right across the board. Display is great, battery life is best of any Android phone I've owned and the fact that it is replaceable gets an A+. There's also expandable storage which is another great feature.
I've added a few things -- a glass screen protector, additional battery, and a wireless charging adapter for the stock cover. I already owned a 32MB SSD, so that's good enough for now. The wireless adapter was worthwhile, but the G3 throws up repeated warning that it's "charging slowly." This is a problem with the G3 software -- once I dismiss the warning while the phone is on the charger that should be the last it's seen, but it pops up several times. There was a fix for this in an xPosed module, but that's not supported on the Lollipop version of the framework.
The only way this phone could better meet my needs/desires is if it had a fingerprint scanner -- but that's one of the reasons I'.ll be upgrading within the next year...

Removable back cover - add sd card for expanded storage. Long Life - Can replace with a fully charged battery when needed. Screen is awesome! Sprint is the only US Carrier that allows this phone access to the Built in FM Radio - this feature is awesome with the native LG Radio App or Next Radio - very handy for emergencies to listen to local FM. I use my phone for Executive Level work as well as my down time leisure activities. the LG Health features are amazing. I love the built in pedometer. Location of the headphone jack on the bottom is brilliant. Range of the wifi antenna is super-great. I pick up neighbors routers two doors down !!!
Love this phone - I own two!

I bought 2 LG G3s. One for myself, one for my wife. I have always used Samsungs before, but wanted to try something different. Mine has been flawless. Great battery life, nice camera, large screen, fast. Everything you could want.
My wifes on the other hand would get really hot and eat the battery, even in airplane mode. We made sure nothing was running in the background, but it would appear we just got a lemon with that particular phone. The best buy mobile sales person was great, and agreed with us as to there being a major issue with that phone and my wife went with an iphone to replace it.

I picked this over the S5 due to the better camera and design. After using it for some time the battery is great (charge every other day or so) and the camera is amazing. The pictures this thing takes are as good as any point and shoot camera on the market and some of the best I have seen on the current generation of phone.
Cons: Sprint version has a ton of Sprint bloatware but most Sprint phones do.

Good Bang For Your Buck

The LG G3 gives you a lot of bang for your buck. The battery life is really good. I take my phone off the charger at 6:00 am and it usually lasts me well past midnight. The screen size is also good for viewing videos such as youtube. However, I do find the phone size quite cumbersome sometimes when typing in landscape mode. The phone comes with some nice specs including one of the fastest processors along with 3GB of RAM. I haven't had any performance problems. I ended up only paying $50 for the phone after a $50 upgrade promotion along with the $99 promotion Best Buy was running. My daughter has the GS5 which is also a nice phone. However, the extra RAM and screen size along with the price makes this phone a much better deal. I'm also coming from a GS3. That phone was under performing since the last couple of updates. I can't imagine this phone getting to a point where it's not spec'd out enough to run the newest version of firmware and Android. I definitely recommend this phone.

This is my first LG phone. I am very pleased with the ease of use and glitch free operation. I use this on Sprint and have had very few connection problems. The large screen is the phones best attribute in my opinion. It is the perfect compromise between a smartphone and a tablet. Battery life is better than I would have expected with a screen of its size.

Coming from a Samsung S3 & S4 user, and once tried the LG G2 for about 2 weeks. This is by far the best phone I've come across for a very long time... The sound quality is first the most important feature to me second only to quality of the display than battery and speed of the proccessors comes tied to third place for me. LG G3 places all 4 factors all in first place which you don't see every day... Simply put, this is a bad phone as in bad*** phone! The display is beautiful, others will say that can't tell a difference that to me is being lazy. You can tell with 2-3 min how sharp the display is and how fast and responsive the phone interaction from one item to another. The battery holds up quite well thats the surprise here... Now this phone is being used by my wife so I'm going to wait till Sept, to see if the new iphone will be a LG G3 killer not the other way around. If the iphone does as well as the LG G3 than I'm going to get G3 for why pay more than you have to. Will see, the G3 is the first phone on my list.

I had the HTC One m7 before I purchased the G3. I am enjoying the larger screen and better camera. The battery lasts a lot longer which is very appreciated. The only disappointment is the cell phone reception signal is weaker than my son's new Nexus 6 but otherwise a very smooth operating phone.

So far, so great. Really incredible phone. The camera is a big deal for me, as I take the most pics in the family. It. Is. Awesome. The 3G of RAM make things fly, no lags. It can handle it all. All connections seem solid. Wish I had Sprint Spark in Music City, so no info there. One note: no carriers include Qi-wireless charging out of the box; you have to buy a Qi-enabled back cover. AND make sure if you buy any Quick Circle case, it states that it has Wireless Charging on it (the case needs FOUR connectors, not two).
Battery seems good so far. Since the phone is new, I've been using if extremely heavy all day long doing set ups, downloads, and just playing with it.

Great phone with the best screen Ive seen on a mobile (ive owned quite a few). Buyers should be aware that there is now an LG G4 available as of May of 2015 so the G3 can be found at great prices now. With that said, the G3 still holds up against the newest models in my opinion. Great 5.5" screen that is a bit crispier than 1080P screens. Great overall experience. I gave it 4 stars because of my encounters with lagginess with the internet app and ebay apps. These same apps worked on another smartphone so im not sure what could be causing the hiccups with those two apps.
Pros: Large beautiful screen , great camera that takes full HD pictures
Cons: Battery runs dry fast when apps are running, some occasional lagginess and odd glitches when on the internet and ebay app
Overall the very occasional lagginess when switching between apps is far outweighed by the other wonderful features of the phone ... if you get it for a good price :)

We all know the specs and features of this handset by now; its not new any more, but that doesn't mean it's washed-up by any means. This unit is still a benchmark device.
For reference, I have a HTC One (m7), Nexus 5, and a LG Optimus G. The G3 arguably the best handset of the group, but it (like all things gadget) has its shortcomings and strengths.
1. Call quality? Ehh, it's a cell phone...and chances are you'll be calling another cell phone so now there are two radio devices subject to signal interference, strength, geography, and obstructions in the equation. However, if you value that metric, the quality was fine and HD Voice does work. [Noticeable when talking to Samsung S4 and Nexus 5]
2. Performance. The screen is gorgeous, though I haven't seen many opportunities to take advantage of the UHD display. It's not like there is a lot of content yet and though it can film in UHD, what's the point..., unless you own a UHD TV. Operating the device, I see very little latency until you really load up the running apps but still it isn't bothersome, you can just tell the phone is busy multitasking. Menus and animations snap open and close quickly. Battery life is great for me, but this is probably the most subjective area. A charge can last me all day (6am - 6pm) only using the phone to talk, email and text. GPS gets used a bit as well as searches and web browsing. No streaming of audio or video.
3. Ergonomics. It seems odd for the buttons to be on the back but it makes perfect sense from a one-handed user's perspective. You'll just have to "unlearn" the traditional button layout of current smartphones. There is a lot of screen real estate as the bezel is very minimal. It feels comfortable to hold and it doesn't make you nervous, as if it is a breeze away from slipping from you fingers. The HTC One, as pretty and cool as it feels DOES NOT inspire confidence when you hold it. And the Nexus 5 isn't much better.
4. Camera. [day to moderate indoor lighting; no flash] This camera is awesome! Period. It focuses fast, and accurately thanks to its IR laser assist. Depending on the composition, there is very little if any shutter lag. There are a few shooting options, but not many. Photos can be single shot or rapid fire machine gun-style. The HTC One, hands down was the quickshot king. It focuses fast and has virtually zero shutter lag, i.e your photo ops will be captured. The Nexus 5, not so much. That poor thing...[sighs, shakes head] The LG G3 has a 13MP camera and it works well and should satisfy your photo needs this side of a dedicated point-n-shoot. Video wise? Again, awesome. It focuses well with changing conditions while recording and also (an often overlooked feature) it records sound in stereo! The Nexus 5, nope.
5. Overall. This phone also supports an SD card and has a SIM slot for those who swap out phones, etc. The phone can be a challenge for one-handed use but the buttons on the back certainly help with that. In additions, there are a myriad of customization options right down to the app icons, backgrounds and fonts. Even the notification LED can have the colors customized without having to ROOT the phone, or buy an app (Nexus 5) and the the HTC One? The guy who R&D'ed the notification LED on that phone must have called in sick that day, cuz it just plain sucks!
The bottom line is: Buy the LG G3.

I had researched which phone I wanted to upgrade to for months and when I read about the LG G3 coming out in July, I kept my eye on it. It had everything I was looking for in a phone. Removable battery, microSD slot and a 5.5 inch screen. The only thing I was apprehensive about was the user interface. I didn't want anything cluttered or clown-y. I'm a software developer by trade and I like simplistic. I was delighted to find that the User Interface was well thought out; not as bad as the hyper-critical reviews were after the LG G3 launch in June. When I found myself saying, "I wish it would do this.", I would look around or online and find the answer - that LG tucked it away in an inconspicious place and I had what I needed after all.
Battery life is good. I have ran for a week using it for personal and business uses and I go to bed with 20% of my battery remaining.
The camera is good; better than my iPhone 5 had in my opinion.
This is one excellent phone.

I upgraded from the LG Optimus G to this LG G3 and I could not be happier! Everything about this phone is amazing and after watching a couple of youtube videos, I quickly learned all the neat things you can do with it. Knock Code and the rear facing buttons are the biggest plusses for me and the screen is absolutely stunning! I highly recommend buying a case for this phone though, it's quite slick in the hands. I bought the Otterbox Symetry case from the Best Buy site and fits it wonderfully without adding a lot of bulk to this already big phone. I'm searching Amazon for a nice screen protector as well. Overall: I've had this phone for a couple months now and had no problems or issues with it.
