I have had the LG G3 for 3 months now. I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S3 and I LOVE the LG G3. There is a difference in screen type between these two phones. I kept the messaging app background black on the S3 to help preserve battery life, and I really liked the color vividness on the S3, but I must say that the less saturated colors on the G3 are refreshing and easy on the eyes. The screen is very nice to look at. I like to customize just about every aspect of my electronic devices. I do find the stock background wallpapers to be a bit bland on the G3 out of the box, but I downloaded quite a few nice bright vivid HD papers from the Internet and they look very nice on the phone. I can see this screen better with sunglasses on, which I wear a lot outside because my eyes are somewhat sensitive to bright light. I'm also enjoying the white background in the messaging app on the G3. I do wish there were more choices in bubble colors and shapes in the stock messaging app. There is a lot of screen real estate on this phone and I am protecting mine with a Tech Armour tempered glass screen protector, which I can't even tell is on the phone. It took a little while to get used to the buttons being on the back, but I like that I am never pressing buttons on the side by mistake just holding the phone in my hand. The S3 had the on/off button one side, and the volume up/down button directly opposite on the opposite side, and I was often inadvertently pressing the the wrong button on the opposite side at the same time because of their proximity to each other on opposite sides of the phone. It was hard to press/hold one on one side without also pressing the one on the other side at the same time when holding the phone with one hand. I haven't accidentally pressed any button on the G3 yet. I am experiencing similar battery life or better on the G3 as I did on the S3. I just received the AT&T Lollipop update and battery life has not suffered at all. I am not a power user by any means. I make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, email occasionally, play games occasionally, listen to a little music occasionally on a bluetooth ear piece, and look up movie times and such on the Internet. I use 50% or less of the battery in a day. This phone uses virtually no power when on standby. I haven't used the camera extensively and haven't tried all its features yet, but it focuses very quickly and I can zoom in very close when viewing the pictures it takes and they are awesome. As a DSLR camera enthusiast (and somewhat pixel peeper), I am very pleased with the pictures the G3 takes. It has an SD card slot and I transferred a lot of music to my card. I like to listen through a bluetooth ear bud where I can still hear what's going on around me and haven't plugged in any headphones to the jack, so can't attest to the quality through headphones. The speaker is on the back and I find sound to be louder and clearer than on the Galaxy S3. I've also transferred quite a few ringtones to the phone, some of which I made myself, and they all play fine. I can assign photos and individual ringtones to contacts. Call reception and reliability on this phone is about the same for me as it was on my Galaxy S3. I'm not experiencing dropped calls. It connects reliably to my home network wi-fi. The only thing I noticed immediately that I continue to be unhappy about is the fact that LG took the Brightness slider off the pull down Notification bar. I can get to it fairly easily through the Settings icon on the Notification bar, but it's a few steps that I'd rather not have to take. It's my understanding that LG had both the Brightness and the Volume sliders on the Notification bar on the G2, but decided to save the space by eliminating both on the G3. Some international versions of the phone may have it, but the U.S. version does not, at least not the AT&T version. Since I like to customize, I'd rather have the option to add those features or hide them. I was hoping the Lollipop update might add the option to put the sliders on the notification bar, but it did not. There is a speaker icon on the Notification bar that you can toggle between On/Off/Vibrate, which is better than having to dig in the settings to find. There is also a Brightness icon, but it only toggles between the currently set brightness level and dim. The Notifications bar itself is customizable. You can choose what items go on it from a list of options, and can also arrange the chosen items in any order you want. Brightness and Sound are two of the options that you can add to the bar, but they operate as stated above and not as adjustable sliders. The Notification LED is not as big and bright as on the Galaxy S3, but the color of the flash can be customized. I am very happy with this phone! : )

This is a very nice phone. It's my first LG device. The phone is pretty big but doesn't feel bad in the hands. Very slim and light. Build quality is nice and solid. Camera works well but I don't find pictures to be that great especially in low light. Pretty snappy and smooth after making a few little changes. All in all a very nice upgrade if your coming from an older device.

Awesome phone.. actually went to store to get the MTC M8, but was wowed by the size and display of the G3. Only thing really that was better on the M8 were the front facing speakers, but everything else, G3 wins.
