After having the phone for a month it did 2 software updates now I can't check voicemail, send picture text messages without it ask for me to approve permission for draw app. Which it never lets me change. Called Verizon 3 times and they have no clue what to do.

I do not like the changes they made from the G2 to the G5. Also the system updates do not mesh between Verizon and LG which causes issues including eating a ton of data to try and download.

    Awesome overall phone

I just upgraded from my G2 and have had this phone for 3 days and it has been great so far. Pros: fast and powerful. The cameras are amazing and I love the second wide angle camera on the back. The finger print scanner is great and the battery life is better than expected with a smaller battery than most phones out now. The modular portion is fantastic and I love that you can just pop in a new battery if needed. Cons: I wish they kept the volume keys on the back like in the G2, G3 and G4. The sim card and SD card slot can only be opened by a small pin that they gave you. The battery is smaller than other phones out and doesn't last as long as others, but that is mitigated by the fact that you can replace the battery (which you can get a replacement battery, charging cradle and USB-C adapter free if purchased through Best Buy) and the fast charging of the USB-C cable. Definitely one of the best phones out now and I personally like the feel of it over the new Samsung phones. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new phone.

I loved the Galaxy G2 but they have changed things for the G5. No volume button on the back and the verizon update and LG update do not mesh up so it causes a lot of data usage

    Best phone yet!!!

I bought this phone about two months ago and I have yet to regret it. My past two phones were the iPhone 4, when it was new, and the galaxy s5, this is my favorite switch yet. I had the choice of going with either the lg g5 or the galaxy s7. The only thing I give the galaxy that's better than the g5 is water proofing, which a life proof case can fix that problem. Meanwhile the lg g5 has a much sturdier and, in my opinion, better looking shell. The duel camera on the back is a major advantage and has the potential for some of the most breath taking pictures you will ever see. The removable battery is a big advantage, I still have to charge my actual phone once and it has only run out of battery once. It works really well to set up a system where you have one battery charging and simply switch them when you need to. Finally the sd card is very useful in storing all pictures, videos, movies, and music so that 32 gigs seems more like 100. In summery, GET THIS PHONE!

    Dud

The first phone my brother got was a dud. It had something wrong with it per the manufacturer. First it wouldn't connect via wifi. Than the 4G refused to stay on. After that, the battery wouldn't hold a charge and the phone couldn't stay on. This was all in less than two weeks. Luckily the phone had insurance and was under the 2-week warranty period per Best Buy; they took it back and replaced it for free. The next one worked (and has continued to work) perfectly.

Love this phone. So easy to use. Comes with a second battery and the ability to add additional storage. I have discovered no glitches yet. Even purchased one for my 70 year old mother in-law who had been using an old flip phone that the government gives away for free. I play alot of games on my phone but I still have really good battery life at the end of the day. When I had no game apps loaded yet, I still had 89% battery when I went to bed. Best buy has a sale right now that gets you this phone for $99. No paying month to month and never really owning your phone. P.S. The dual camera for wide landscape pictures is amazing. Have heard reviews that the low light pictures could be brighter but I have not encountered that yet. Other than low light, the camera is rated "pretty good" by many sites I went on. (Latest Galaxy being the best)

    Best phone so far

So I've been using mid range phones for ever, and finally decided to go high end. After reading the reviews from tech sites, what made me finally decide on this phone was the camera quality. I haven't had much chance to use it yet, but the video and audio quality is stunning. This speed of this phone is amazing, everything is snappy. I get a full day of use on the battery, not as much as my old HTC, but it runs circles around it. The only thing I don't like is that you can't install apps to the SD card.

Love my phone, especially the camera. It's great having the modular ability to add new functionality. Removable battery is also a plus. The only drawbacks are not having wireless charging capability and that LG denied my claim to the additional battery and cradle.

My husband originally purchased the Samsung Galaxy s7, he had that for 3 days after taking it back to the store every night he had that phone. The battery was draining down way too fast, after 4 phone calls and a few text, it would die from 100% to 7% in 8 hours. They said it could have been a defective battery in that phone, he didn't want to chance that again. So he got this phone after that and it's much better, and way better battery life. Plus he got his shipment in on an extra battery that came with the phone as a package. He was used to a Motorola Turbo and the Samsung was too different, this phone is more similar to the Turbo so he likes that

    Worth the Wait

I tried a Nexus 6P and an iphone 6S Plus thinking that I may like them better than my G3. I disliked both of them and went back to my G3 and eagerly anticipated the 4/1 release date of the G5. Definitely worth the wait. Smooth, thin, bright, responsive, knock on is right on.

The quality is much improved from the G4 now with a flat steel pack rather than a curved plastic back. The Dual Rear cameras are great. Being able to use the wide angle mode makes taking close up pictures much easier. Overall this is the best phone in my opinion and I can't wait to see where LG goes with the G6
