A recent purchase. Issues : The volume resets itself and/or switches from sound to vibrate at its will, not mine. email links don't open. WAY too much preinstalled software. I was hopeful that this would be an upgrade from my Samsung s5, but I'm not finding this to be true.

Usually LG has really good phones, but this one is no where near the best or good. The V20 model surpasses this phone.

We had this phone less than a week and the camera screen cracked. Best Buy has a 14 day exchange policy but would not exchange it, blaming us for the crack. Instead we were told we would have to use our insurance and pay the $200 deductible. I would not buy this phone again and will thing twice about buying anything from Best Buy if the can't stand behind what they sell .

    Outstanding Build Quality

Caveats: 1) my previous phone, an LG G3 died after almost four years, so any upgrade was going to be a big deal. 2) It's new and I'm still learning what this thing can do. 3) Bleeding-edge features are not that important to me. I like a solid, do-everything device. The G6, so far, is everything I wanted in a near-top-of-line Android phone. The build quality stands out. The device is elegant looking and has enough heft to it to feel sturdy without being heavy. The fingerprint reader on the power button reacts instantly. Display is fantastic, and everything "feels" fast. In terms of speed, it stacks up well against competing devices I am familiar with like the iPhone 7 and Samsung GS7 and GS8. Battery seems to have settled in and gets me through 36 hours of light-to-moderate usage without trouble. The deal I got from Best Buy as an upgrading Sprint customer was way better than what Sprint offered me directly. I don't change phones often so it was interesting to participate in the crapshoot.

Phone was slow and not the flagship that they say it is. Camera glass broke which seems to be a common problem just google it. It was nice that it came with a google home. Phone is gone as I have moved on to the galaxy s8 plus. Much happier.

A review from someone not bitter at Samsung

I see a lot of biased reviews on here who are acting like their last phone is an ex and this is new bae. Honestly I liked this phone. The controls on it are fluid and the way it thinks is mostly in tuned to mine. I got the phone and just started using it. It's also for the most part well built. The audio on it is great. So is the camera... immaculate. Sadly after some time, I went back to Samsung. And will not be doing LG as a phone ever again. My issues with this phone: 1. Micro sd and sim holder doesn't properly hold the cards. You have to do a trick to get it in and even then it's a pain. It's also not strongly built. If you're going to use that slot frequently like I probably will, it's going to break. It literally should be placed it in the holder and slide it in. It was like that with my note 8. 2. Phone recognition issues with my computer. It was very sketchy at times. Very off and on. I don't face this with my other phones and devices. We're talking Apple, Samsung etc. and before we go to I'm a LG hater... My monitors and watch are LG. I've worked with LG products for years. 3. LG community/development etc: If you're a android developer/IT/etc and you like to play with your phones. You're going to find out that this version of the LG G6 isn't supported by the LG developers site. There's a international version, a us version and sadly this sprint version. It's clear that LG really doesn't want people playing around with their phones. 4. The bloatware on this is excessive. In addition to the sprint and LG apps there's Amazon, Facebook and other apps that you can't get rid of. Disabling isn't the same as uninstalling. They're still taking up room and collecting data. Also on some functions it forces you to use apps. *3 to pay a bill. And it'll force you to do it on an app. Also the development on the apps are poo. Look up the reviews on there and there are people angry that they're forced to use these. It's a good phone. A great phone for the money. If you're going to be a casual or normal user. If you're an actual techie, dev etc that gets creative then I'd go elsewhere.

LG Knocked It Out Of The Park!

I am at my one year mark with this device. I still love this phone. In my opinion, this phone has a very simple, user friendly approach compared to others on the market that I have tried/owned. The interface does have some minor quirks that take a moment to get used to. For example, I don't like the default way that apps are organized, but I always customize that anyway. (Don't we all?) The speaker could be a little louder as well, but still functions just fine. That's really all I can think of for cons. I have not had any major issues with overheating, lag, app support, etc. Most of the issues I had have been sprint/android related. I have always enjoyed LG products and the G6 is no exception! A great phone to consider if you aren't so sure about the other two giants.
