Stopped heating after 1 year

Giving it 2 stars because we love the size and how it used to work ... unfortunately it stopped heating after the first year. Fortunately we purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan and will drop off the microwave off for repair or replacement.

Inputtig cook time with the door open and then startng it after the door is closed is a bit incovenient. I know there is another way to do it but I haven't figured out how yet. There is usually some smoke in the inside after cooking, and I don't know if that is bad.
