So far so good!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only used it for a few months but seems to be working well. Touch feature takes a little getting used to but becomes quite natural. The melody is not as bad as people have commented but it would be nice to be able to change melodies.

Reliable Microwave
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice looking compact microwave that is excellent especially for the price. I have seen it cooks evenly with good power. I would recommend to anyone who would need a smaller unit for more limited counter space.

Surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't aware a microwave could be this nice. Everything about it is rock solid, cooks perfectly consistently, and it plays cute jingles.

Very durable!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Suffice to say this thing can take quite the beating from forgetting to take out the fork to food just outright spraying everywhere, So it definitely very durable and will last a long time. Sleek looking microwave!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the look of this microwave and it works well. The only thing that is kind of annoying is the tune that plays when it's done. I'm not sure if there's a way to turn this off.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like this microwave. Smaller footprint than our previous machine but still fully suitable for all our microwaving needs. Like little touches like the music chimes when reheat is complete. So far so good!

Great microwave
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on sale and was excited to have a non cheap microwave from Walmart. This thing is great cooks food evenly and just looks very futuristic. Only down side is the tone for when foods done could be louder

Ok Microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit works nicely, is quiet, but doing simple functions are little too cumbersome. The interior was not tall enough for my uses. Exchanged it for one a little bigger.

Takes longer go warm than my previous microwave

Nice looking, compact size, but disrupts internet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this microwave except for 2 issues: 1. Causes interruptions with internet when in use (very annoying when streaming tv - especially live news). This means there is radiation leakage, which is concerning to me. 2. The chime at end of the heating cycle is a bit annoying (no off option).

Not Happy With The Cooking/Reheating Ability
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a couple months of use I found that the LG NeoChef 0.9 Cu. Ft Compact Microwave was a mistake, as it takes often double the time to completely cook and reheat foods. Sadly, the non-cooking features of the LG microwave, such as informing when the cooking/reheating cycle has completed, is great, but cooking/reheating of foods is the most important part of a microwave. I've come to suspect it would have been smarter to have purchased the 1.5 Cu Ft version of this microwave because it has I understand it emits more power.

Safety issues due to inferior quality, misleading
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve used well over a dozen microwaves at our primary houses, vacation homes and rental problem. We’ve only had one go bad, and that was a built in many years ago and it was 10+ years old. This microwave was our first LG appliance purchase. The microwave began arcing within the first year. I would clean the metal inverted plate and it would behave again. The microwave cleans nicely, but no matter how I attempted to keep the metal plate clean it always appeared to have a film on it. I noticed this immediately after unpacking and using it, but as time went on the brown-yellowish stain remained and if I tried cleaning it silver metal like fragments would come off on the cloth. The microwave ran well between the first and second year and being that there is just the two of us, it got light use. Just short of two years I was microwaving some frozen vegetables and suddenly I heard a loud arc sound and turned around and noticed a flame inside the oven. When I looked at the scorched metal plate it actually had a hole in it. Luckily I was nearby to run and shut it off. This is a serious safety issue and also unacceptable. One would think if there were a fire in the oven that a heat sensor would shut it off. We were thinking about replacing the appliances in our in law apartment with all LG brands, but after this experience I don’t think it’s a good idea. Not only has this arcing issue been scary, but it appears from the feedback and reviews that LG misleads their customers. Let’s face it; the microwave state’s that it has a 10 year warranty on the inverter but from what I’m reading, LG will only send parts to an appliance repair person who the customer must pay to install it. That doesn’t seem like a good deal and it’s misleading. Glad to have found out about the lack of customer service and LG’s stance on not making things right by honoring their promises. This is especially true since it seems the inverter issue is of a quality nature and the safety issues that are a direct result of a manufacturing defect is a liability. So, we won’t be buying any more LG products for our homes or rental properties. I don’t think it’s going to be worth calling LG only to be told nothing can be done or be told we have to eat the service bill. Have better things to do than wait on a line and being told “Sorry, but we can’t help you.”
