    I've had this Microwave for a little over a year...it's not working right. Microwave not heating food up. Products in America are not made to last. It's a ploy to buy warranties. When products were made in America they lasted. Not now. So disappointed.

    Microwave works eze expected a little disappointed in the interface a bit dark and while easy finding it and setting it not so easy

    Does not reheat evenly! Every time, I reheat leftovers and sit down to eat, I'm reminded, I should post a negative review. Two years later, I can tell you that it does not reheat evenly. I could understand one type of food being hotter than another, for example a potato vs rice or a chicken drumstick vs mashed potatoes. The denser mass would most likely be hotter. But with this microwave you will notice some parts of the same food/plate are barely warm even though the plate is spinning on the carousel. Imagine a plate of rice, or a bowl of soup... there will be temperature differences. To "fix" this I've taken to re-heat in multiple increments... 2 mins, wait 2 mins, reheat 2 mins more. Anyway it does look good, it's still working, makes ok popcorn and I don't mind the interface.

    Lifespan of 18 months, buyer beware

    There should be a zero rating option. I bought this from Best Buy 18 months ago and it stopped heating whatever you’re trying to cook. It’s a bad Magnetron. LG advertises a 10 year Magnetron warranty, but you have to pay a service company to diagnose the problem and do the repair — which is more than the cost of the microwave. The result — there really is no warranty at all after a year and now I know the life expectancy of this garbage is just 18 months. What makes me even madder is that GE doesn’t make the compact microwave I had before this — which lasted 10 years — so now I’ll have to buy another compact LG. Frustrating.

    Poor Quality & Short Lifespan

    I bought this because it was the perfect size for the space and because I trusted the LG name for other electronics. It was great at first. But this unit, as others have pointed out, began to fail fairly quickly. And now only after about 15-18 months, it's pretty much useless. The waveguard (coated cardboard piece that covers the magnetron) continually sparks and nearly catches fire despite there being no metal or debris. I'm not comfortable and do not feel safe using it. After reading the ordeal that others have had with repairs or warranty support, this is going out in the trash tomorrow and I'll pick up a microwave from a reputable manufacturer of small kitchen appliances. Stick to TVs and consumer electronics, LG!

    I bought this in August 2022. It just died, but is outside the one-year warranty. This microwave worked well, but lasted the shortest time of all microwaves I’ve owned.

    Worked Great Until It Didn't

    I purchased the microwave in June of 2018. The unit has an interesting operating system and worked very well until it didn't. The microwave stopped working in November of 2018.

    WARNING: Sparks and Fire Inside!!!!!

    I had this microwave for approximately 6 months. It was a beauty of a machine...until it got REAL ugly! I loved the small footprint, the sleek, stylish look, the sliding operation in the front that lets you set the amount of cooking time, the soft tune that alerts you when your food is ready, and easy clean up. Just lovely! Things were going great! We were in perfect harmony, until... I heard the loud popping noise! I ran into the kitchen and saw the inside wall of the unit aglow with red balls of inferno!!! The action seemed to be coming from the metal plate attached to the inside wall of the unit, though the whole inside was glowing. The scene was TERRIFYING and INTENSE!!! It was holding my sausage link hostage :( There were white sparks shooting out every which way from the whirls of red fury, seemingly trying to amplify the scene even more! YIKES!!!! VERY DANGEROUS!

    Bought on March 2021 lasted through October 2022. They said they can send a tech to see if it is the magnetron, but if it is not, I have to pay for the tech. Not very reliable if only lasted less than 2 years from purchase.

    Lasted just 16 months - four months beyond the one-year warranty. It was a good, convenient machine right until the end, when it just stopped warming anything. LG customer service is perfunctory. Thier response amounted to "geez, tough luck."

    Worked for 2 years then made loud buzzing noise and stopoed working. LG customer service was bad. I have many LG products but the microwaves are the worst
