This is a well designed oven with a smaller footprint yet a lot of power (1000 watts) and features. While the essential controls are exteriorly placed via touchpad, most controls are behind the door. I've been using the oven for 2 days without opening the manual and with absoluteky no guesswork. Yes, it's that intuitively designed. LG yes, life is good.

I rarely get excited about a microwave oven. After all, it’s a small appliance, a utility. However this one is well designed, with thought and care. It is compact at 0.9 cu, but powerful with 1000W of heating power. It is designed to hide complex controls behind a sleek panel, but leaves important and often used ones accessible via a funky new touch interface. It also has the nice single touch 30 second immediate start. Good. It has the inverter tech which I haven’t tried yet but supposedly let’s the heating happen more evenly. That was a weakness in my old microwave. It even has a way to turn off the sounds, which I need to try. I found a link on the web explaining how to turn off the beeps/melody in this LG microwave, as I don’t like beeps/melody of any kind. :-) The hexagon shaped funky turntable support is supposed to be more stable, however, I don’t know really how much better it is than the regular ones. The regular support I had in my old Kenmore was quite okay. If there is one con: the door is a bit wide and requires more clearance. It also doesn’t open more than 90 degrees. Finally, for the price, these features are well worth it. Good job, LG. I never thought I’d say this to an appliance company :-)

Just love this! Fits perfectly in my remodeled kitchen and performs like a full size unit! Good a dinner plate perfectly.

Looks sleek, heats fast, priced right. I love this music it makes instead of just beeping for notifications. Timer can be programmed with door open or closed... nice.

This WAS a great microwave when it worked. Perfect size for my kitchen, sleek, cool looking and did a great job. After a while, though, the display stopped working and is now erratic, at best. I can't make out the numbers in the display and that's a BIG problem with this microwave as you don't punch in the numbers to set the cooking time - you use a "slider" (for lack of a better word) - to set the time. So, that means I more or less can't use any features of this microwave other than guessing at the cooking time - hoping I get it right - and just really can't use any other features (because I can't tell from the screen what might be happening). I've had this more than a year, so I guess any kind of warranty would be moot at this point. But I did like this microwave a lot when the display worked! So, no cooking issues like some others seem to have experience, but just display issues on my end. I really did expect something like the display to not just fizzle out after a while. Ugh.

Love our new microwave, it’s clean design, all the cool features & it’s not huge but inside feels huge! Especially the stay-put plate & dark easy to clean interior! Great musical alert too!

The slider bard to set the cook time is easy to use. The minimalist look is great; I like how there are very few buttons on the outside of the door. I wish there was a way to turn of the noise that it makes every time the cooking session is complete, though.

Very good m-wave, worth the price I paid overall but I gave it a 4 star because of an annoying but crucial problem for me. My central breakfast item requires exactly 45 seconds to cook to perfection. This m-wave can only be set in 10 second increments so I must set the timer to 50 seconds and stop the cooking at 5 seconds. This wrecks up my multi-tasking in the morning. Perhaps there is a way to bring the time into the desired range but there is no instruction provided & I can't figure out any way.

It's a nice microwave especially if you are short on kitchen space It is easy to use and is easy to clean .

This is probably my 5th microwave oven. It is by far the best one I ever had. I wanted one under 20 inches, 1000 watts. It has all that, plus unexpected features that I love. Because it was smaller than my old MW, I didn't expect it to fit some bowls and casseroles, but they fit perfectly! It has great visibility during the cooking process.

I got this micro about a month ago and I just love it. Start with the simple controls on the outside of the door with the very clever slide control. Then, for those who hate clanging cheap sounding doors, there's this nice soft open and close made even better by the door/handle design where the edge of the door is the handle. Look closely, it's wonderful. I didn't need the clock therefore appreciate the ability to turn off the clock light so there's no 24 hour light on it. Next there's the turntable/door design that lets the turntable use space on the inside of the door so the size of the microwave is minimized while keeping max space inside. I'm so glad I got rid of my old micro and upgraded to this little gem.

This is a nice looking small microwave that still fits a full sized plate or pie pan (glass of course). My only issue is that you are forced to used 10-second increments of time, and there are very limited pre-sets. The popcorn setting is about 20 seconds too short. If you only use the microwave for reheating and popcorn this one is OK.

I shopped for a smaller Microwave oven and this one is the best. Most are cheap plastic junk. This one is really a premium one. Looks cool too. Small footprint that has a bigger inside and more power.

Looks great heats well. Negative the beeps are loud and noisy and can't make quiet.

I purchased this microwave in July of 2017. It quit heating in December of 2018. I would not consider myself to be a heavy user, no more than a handful of times per week. I thought I was buying a superior product by choosing this microwave over less expensive options when the time came to replace my 10+ year old microwave that worked, but had begun to decline in performance. I wish I had kept it, but I didn’t because certainly did not expect to be in the position of needing to replace this microwave after less than a year and a half. In reading the reviews, I see that I’m not the only one in this position. As a result, I wonder how many of the positive reviews were made shortly after the purchase. I would given a much higher rating myself prior to now. As for the performance prior to the demise, I had no significant complaints. It’s weird that there isn’t a keypad. But, like I said, I didn't use it frequently enough for that to be anything more than a minor inconvenience. More frustrating is the inability to set to timer to anything but 10 second increments. Timer annoyances aside, it was a good looking appliance that heated well. Ugh, I’m just so disappointed and will not purchase any more LG appliances. There are way too many reputable brands with an established history of providing longevity of service to waste my money on form that doesn’t function.

This microwave was great, lots of power and easy to clean. Unfortunately a cockroach family took up residency so I had to toss it. Apparently they like the heat and there's really no way to use a microwave once those things crawl in. I'm finally brave enough to buy another one since I haven't seen a cockroach since tossing it over a year ago.
