The chimes it emits when done microwaving are atrocious, but they can be disabled by some arcane sequence of button presses that you have to look up online. Worse, the magnetron in mine seems to have broken after about 15 months and despite the big shiny "10 year warranty" logo on the door LG claims only a 1 year warranty and their support is convoluted and annoying. Like many other reviewers are saying, my microwave no longer heats (though the platter and stupid chimes work fine). After chatting to a useless AI and a human on LG.com they insist that I pay to have it seen by a certified technician 60 miles away.
