Yes, the musical reminder when the time ends is annoying (and cannot be turned off), but so what? It's a great microwave with this minor inconvenience. Really appreciate the quick 30 second option (push the start button, multiple times as necessary)...rarely take the time to set a specific time. If you're looking for an extra large microwave, this is the one.
