LG Warrantee nearly worthless/doesn't cover repair

Apparently this is a problem with it's Smart Inverter Magnetron--an advertised feature that supposedly comes w/a 10-Year Warrantee. It went after less than 2-years. When I called LG regarding this I spent a long time on multiple holds and then learned that (1) LG has none of its own repair service providers in this area, (2) that they only cover the part, not its installation, and (3) that you have to pay a non-LG repair person to fix the machine. I was not even able to reach a Best Buy person.
