    Stay Away - Buy something else

    I purchased this microwave in June of 2018. Today, October 9, 2019 it quit working!!!!! Oh, it still runs, but it won't cook or heat anything. Just suddenly stopped working in the middle of reheating leftovers for dinner. Of course, it's out of warranty. So, my advice is to stay away from this product and buy something else that will hopefully last better. The only bright side to this is that now I don't have to listen to the totally annoying sound the microwave made when it was done cooking.

    Died after less than 2 months. We were warming something up for just a minute, heard a small pop and the unit would no longer power on. I've tested the outlet it was plugged into and it works fine. It appears to have just died.

    It looked like it might be nice but uUnfortunately, the unit was defective (keys did not work properly if at all).

    Another dead microwave

    This one lasted 70 days. My first one lasted 2 days. I'm told I have to ship it to a service center. (size and weight would be nearly $70 in shipping) I wish I had my Sharp Carousel back. It lasted 12 years, we only replaced it because we bought all new LG appliances (kitchen and laundry). So disappointed.

    Do Not Buy!

    Stay Away! Do not waste your money on this product go with a Panasonic or GE. This product failed at 11 months contacted LG support. They offered a full reimbursement but they want me to buy another LG microwave first then upload the new receipt and old barcodes and sign a piece of paper. Now i'm really thinking if I should cut my losses and get a better product from another brand or give LG one more shot at this.

    Long cook times

    I purchased two of these for an office that I work in. The cook time is extremely slow (long) even in full power and it has random sounds upon completion, annoying.

    LG Quality Control issues, SmartDiagnosis useless

    In two months, LG microwave keypad started failing giving phantom key presses, at third month keypad totally failed with error F3. LG SmartDiagnosis couldn't do anything because the keypad was not working.

    I've never had a microwave oven fail within 16 months of purchase. After reading the reviews across multiple platforms, its painfully obvious this unit is plagued by the F3 error. You would think LG would acknowledge such a widespread prevalent failure.

    Returning after 5 weeks

    I bought this on Black Friday, five weeks ago. I use it a few times a day, for a few minutes at a time, it never gets very hot. This morning after heating something for one and a half minutes, I started smelling something burning. I opened the door and the inside was smoking, a lot. What I was heating up had not gotten warm at all. I expected far better from LG, this was not a cheap microwave. I don’t think I’ll be replacing it with another LG product.

    This microwave looks nice and worked for a year and 3 days. It died right after warranty expired. It is not a quality product.

    Poor Quality

    Bought it less than a year ago and already not working. Getting F-3 error message. Terribly disappointed with 3 LG kitchen products: Gas oven door stopped closing properly, craft ice fridge not producing craft ice, microwave not working - all after less than a year and with light use by 2 people. Will never buy LG products again. Apart from microwave, the other products were expensive.

    Don't buy without extended warranty

    I bought this thinking it would last me a good while but it stopped working within 6months. I took it back thinking I had bought the extended warranty but I didn't ( my fault) I have bought many LG products and they have lasted many years but this microwave was very disappointing. It was pretty expensive, a waste of money.

    Piece of Junk

    First one failed in six months. Called LG, they said it was under warranty, sent them them sticker off the unit before I threw it away, and never got a refund. Since they told me to buy a replacement, I did. The keypad on the brand new one is failing after three months. STAY AWAY. STAY FAR AWAY!

    This microwave was bought Sept 5 and failed and was taken back Sept 26th. stopped heating less than 3 weeks after I bought it. Fortunately, Best Buy took it back. I chose the same model in hopes it cannot fail too,

    Worked and looked great up until I started getting an F3 error and you have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work so I guess it is as worthless as every LG product I've ever bought will never buy LG ever again.
