    Microwave stopped working after 16 months conveniently shortly after the warranty expired. Microwave shuts off after 3 seconds so has become useless, and I'll have to pay for repair or new one. Usually love LG appliances, but this will make me think twice.

    Absolute trash. Don’t waste your money on this.

    This microwave is absolute trash. We bought one mid-2019, and within months it stopped heating. We bought a new one, the same model, figuring it was just a defective unit. LG refunded us the cost of the first one. Here we are in August of 2021, less than two years after purchase, and we have the exact same issue. The microwave no longer heats. Unfortunately, now the microwave is no longer under the one year warranty, so we’ll have to buy a new one. Needless to say we will not be buying this same model, nor even another LG for that matter.

    I loved this microwave until it stopped opening. For the price it should last at least a year. After 9 months the door barely opens, you push the button or hold the button and it just stays closed. Do not recommended if you actually use your microwave more than once a week.

    Bought this microwave in June of 2018. Worked fine the first 11 months. It started giving a code of f -3 this happened several times. Called the manufacturer for help by that time the error cleared I told her this had happened several times. She told me to call back if it happens again. It happened again so I called them back on June 23rd this time they could not clear the problem. So they said for me to send proof of purchase I did that Monday the 24th. Which means the microwave was a year and 5 days old. I still hope they will refund even though it’s a few days over a year old.

    Do not buy this product! Lasted under 3 years before the LCD started failing and now the microwave will not heat up product. You will have to pay to get it fixed even is parts are under warranty. Don't waste you money on LG appliances. They are not built to last and will crap out after a few years. Buy another brand

    Doesn't last long

    Im done buying LG microwaves. 1st one lasted a year and it started overheating and sparking inside. Second one lasted 5 months and it got hot on the outside but quit heating food inside. Looks great and seems fancy at first but unfortunately they don't last. Back to GE for me.

    Don't Buy This Microwave!

    This microwave looks great but the first one broke within hours on the very first day! We returned it the next day for another unit and that one was defective as well. It turned on and looked as if it was warming up the item but when I got it out of the microwave, the food was as cold as when I took it out of the refrigerator. This microwave deserves no stars.

    Fool me once shame on me fool me twice shame on LG

    Purchased one in March 2020, worked for about 2 weeks before crapping out and wouldn't heat. Got a replacement and it worked well and was easy to use for about 6 months before the second one crapped the bed. Made lot of clicking sounds before completely going dead. Was not using it for anything out of the ordinary. These new high tech ones are garbage and not worth the price since they don't last like ones from years ago. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE FRUSTRATION

    Stopped Heating

    We bought this microwave in November 2019, but didn’t begin using it until March 2020 due to the completion of our kitchen renovation. 7 months later this LG Microwave has stopped heating altogether. I called customer service and was told we would be getting a refund but they couldn’t tell me when (until then we are out of an appliance that is used daily). As someone else has posted, I fear this is a voucher and not a refund, so I can’t go out and buy a new one. We have all LG appliances but depending how this warranty process is handled we may be switching brands.

    IT SHOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER

    This review is for LG - NeoChef 2.0 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean - Black stainless steel: I purchased this three years ago as a house warming gift for a friend. They just informed me that it no longer gets hot. A microwave oven (a decent microwave oven) should last more than three years.

    LG Microwave is junk!

    We purchased an identical microwave 2 years ago & both the inverter & the magnetron failed. Because we also purchased the extremely expensive trim kit we have now purchased our 2nd unit for $300. By the way, cost to repair is $300 so junked the first unit. We did get a repair estimate which cost us $100. Bottom line…with the trim kit…we have spent $1000 to get one working microwave. Never buying this brand again!

    I would give LG microwave and LG customer service 0 if I could. Bought in in Best Buy a few month ago. Microwave broke and LG customer service is the worst. Never buying LG again

    Don’t buy last a year and dead

    This is junk. 1 year and 18 days and completely dead no power nothing just dead. And nothing abnormal happened to cause it to die. I’m also done with LG I had to buy this a year ago to replace another LG microwave that lasted 3 years. And yes I checked the circuit breaker and the outlet all fine except for the hunk of junk plugged in.

    this microwave is a piece of Junk I have had just about a year 6 months in it would trip the breaker if certain things were cooked in it, like things that got too steamy or too much moisture. Now just recently the "2" button no longer works...ours is built in so It's a real pain and when purchased had a trim kit made....so over this microwave nothing but a headache!!!

    Premature failure and poor customer service

    Microwave only lasted two years and stopped heating food. Despite LG saying that the magnetron has a 10-year warranty on the magnetron, they refused to take any responsibility over the phone and also hung up on me when I asked for an explanation.

    Bad Product

    Purchased this 2.0 LG microwave online, it worked good for 2 days then became extremely hot overheated and stopped cooking/heating anything. What a peice of junk, now I have to go out of my way and drive it back to Best Buy out of town :-(
