I also found you can simply hit the start button repeatedly to increase the time in 30 second increments. So if you want 30 seconds on high then hit start. Need a minute of time then hit it twice. The only issue was the annoying song it plays when it's done. You can turn it off though. I believe I pressed and held the clear button and press the timer button until it says off. If you lose power you'll need to reapply it.
