Customers are saying

Customers highly value the PF50KA 1080p Wireless Smart DLP Portable Projector's picture quality, portability, and compact size. Many appreciate its Bluetooth connectivity and quiet operation, while some found the brightness insufficient in well-lit environments and the remote control could be improved. A few users also noted challenges with focus and compatibility with certain devices. The price point was also a factor for some customers.

What makes this projector unique is that it has a battery in it so you can go mobile and not have to look for an outlet to plug into. This is a huge pro for people like me who like to go mobile. I took it outside streamed a 2 hour movie on battery and it still had power when I was done. The size falls in between a pico projector and a standard sized projector. Its light enough that it only has and needs one mounting hole if you were to mount it. It runs LGs WebOS which is great especially if you already own a LG TV and know how to run it. Its pretty simple and straight forward. It comes with a few pre-installed apps mostly useful stuff but can be removed. Connect up to wifi, install some apps, and stream. No source needed if you go this route. Has a ton of ports ethernet, usb, usb-c, 2 hdmi, coaxial, audio jack. Supports BT and wifi. Supports wireless AC as well which is a plus. For the price you get a very nice little projector. Its not a thousand dollar projector so cant complain about it not being 4k but its 1080p is very clear/crisp. The only cons Ive found thus far is that it has no zoom functionality. So to make the screen smaller or bigger you have to physically move it forward or back. Also speakers are only 1 watt so you may want to connect something better. All in all a great little projector!

When I picked this up at the store it looked like it had been opened (I purchased it online). I specifically asked the Best Buy employee if I was getting a used product. He said no, even though there was tape on the box. I brought it home to find someone else’s information already stored in the unit. I used the device anyway because I needed it. WIFi is not great. I’m still on the fence.

Tiny Projector That Packs a Punch

The LG - PF50KA - What can I say except this little guy packs a major punch and is tiny enough to carry in a backpack with you on an adventure. The colors are vibrant, the image is gorgeous, and the speaker isn't bad for a little 1 watter. The main draw backs are the the manual focus ring sometimes does not grab the actual focus glass ring. You may have to go way out of focus and slowly draw it back in to get it clear. You may also experience some nausea when there is a lot of fast motion vlogging that moves around or quick pans. You will see this less on the Major Motion Picture films, but YouTube vlogs beware. Again, this only happens if you are projecting the image at a large size on your wall or screen. The best parts are the built in battery, the auto keystone correction, and the portability. All in all if you are looking for a tiny little projector that you can open netflix or any video app on, or plug in a cable box, while still being portable. This is the clear winner.

Too dim and USBC did not work as expected

I bought this because it sounded like a perfect solution for portable presentations from ipad pro or laptop. However, when plugging into my laptop's USBC port it said it was a storage device, and I could not get it to be seen as another monitor (which would be used to mirror my screen). Likewise, a USBC connection to my ipad pro did not work either, so I'm really not sure what the USBC port is for (and just to point out, I have an external portable emonitor with usbc port that works perfectly with both). In addition to that, the brightness just wasn't good enough to justify its cost.

It doesnt have brightness so i returned the product. Since it is opened I need to pay $75 as per restocking price. I never knew there is restocking fee , no one told me while purchasing. If the screen brightness is having poor visibility is it my problem or LG device. Why should i pay that money if product is not good. Why bestbuy have go offer poor quality products . Never going to best buy again.

Really poor picture quality, colors are completely random. It seems like LG spent a lot of money on the awful Android TV, instead of spending money on the actual projector. The result is a really poorly executed projector, that can't even project picture with decent color quality, doesn't work with most devices and is overall just awful. You are better off buying a dumb projector and connecting it to your smart phone or laptop

First off it's light and very portable. I have mine in a padded camera case with padded compartments. The user guide that comes with it is OK for set up and basic use, but doesn't explain all the features. Best suggestion, download the actual pdf user guide on the LG site. I tried the following connections, USB, HDMI, Smartphone and DVD player. All were very easy to set up as the projector recognized them immediately. I like the Smart TV feature which is great for HDMI TV without Smart functions. The pictures are nice and clear with excellent quality. The fact that it has dual speakers on either side make it great for listening to music. It is wireless, so it can be set up anywhere in your home. If you use it outside, make sure you protect it from any elements as the projector isn't water proof. I used mine inside projecting thru a window and it was perfect. The remote control worked easily from the backyard to operate the projector. The focus wheel makes it easy to focus quickly and is not too sensitive that you have to keep focusing each time you use it. It would be an excellent projector for presentations as it gives you plenty of options of file choices, PPT, PDF, XLS, and more. I attached it to a portable DVD player for movie night and it worked perfectly. I used the headphone jack to attach extra speakers for sound and that worked just fine. One of the advantages of the projector is that you can attach it to any tripod to adjust height and angle. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that needs a light portable projector for any of their needs.

Does not show in the daytime in enclosed patio. I had to return and pay a 15% restocking fee. I chose the Epson - Home Cinema 3800 4K 3LCD Projector with High Dynamic Range - which cost an extra $1K, but well worth it.
