    Sounds Great. Poor display functions

    Display is TOO BRIGHT and is distracting. You can turn it off. But once you power off and back on it stays on, you must find the remote for the bar and hit sleep button to turn display off each time the unit is powered on. The speakers are clear and sound better then other similar priced sound bars.

    Couldn't Stand the Sound of It

    I honestly don't understand all these 5 star reviews for a soundbar that sounds so substandard even for its price. People must have low standards and expectations. The problem is no matter what setting I tried and what adjustments I made the sound was always tinny, metallic and unnatural. Worse when watching a game where you can hardly hear the announcers voice over the crowd. Simply put, you will not get anything close to deep rich sound even for the low expectation from a soundbar. I tried it for about 25 days with TV and DVD movies but could not stand to keep listening to it. Yes it is better than the horrible speakers on my 65 in UHD Samsung but not by much. I returned it for something else. The only good things about it is that it connected flawlessly to my TV and Bluray players and responded to their remotes. It also worked with the Comcast DVR remote for for powering up/down, volume and muting. (not all soundbars are that accommodating). The construction is also sturdy and looks good. Too bad the sound was so terrible.

    Thoroughly Inferior Product, Persistent Problems

    Subwoofer disconnects from sound bar for no apparent reason during playback. Sound bar freezes when unplugged and powered on again—"Hello" in the display window, no response to remote or input from buttons on the device itself; no results from following the (limited and unhelpful) instructions in the user guide. Called the LG service number displayed on the factory-label sticker, fresh out of the box, and was asked to choose which mobile device I needed help for (cell phone, BT headphones, etc.). Sound bars and home theater devices weren't even an option. Unbelievable failure of quality and service on the part of LG. Do not buy this piece of garbage.

    Returned for repair twice & was never fixed. Customer service is in Bankock & they don't have a clue about the product. Very unprofessional & not worth the money. Will have to take to dump. Don't want someone else with this problem

    We have a new sony tv we purchased the day before we purchased the sound bar. We didn't know that a sound bar is needed with new TVs. The sound bar is sold with a very thin optical cord. The initial sound was good, but it was off a 1/2 to full second from the TV. Purchase of a $35.00 optical cord solved that problem. But the sound bar would not always turn on with the TV, even when set to auto on, requiring the use of two remotes...hard for an octogenarian to remember. And now, after less the 6 weeks, the sound has started turning off in the middle of a program. We are going to try and return this product to Best Buy. Hopefully they will take it back and exchange it for a Sony sound bar...which we hope will work with the TV. We would NEVER recommend this product.

    This sound bar is excellent. I read reviews about the product first before I decided to purchase it. The sound bar produces a clear sound and the price is affordable. I had it for 5 months already.

    Its an okay sound. I like the surround sound better than this one when your turn up the volume hurts in the ears not really can enjoy the music or tv. For movie is great but not music. I like it when its wireless but i prefer still a better sound.

    Wireless bass signal to subwoofer is intermittent

    I bought the first one as an open box item for a steal of a price, once i got home the soundbar could not send a steady bass signal to the subwoofer. I called LG spent some time on the phone with them etc. It sounded great the 10-15 seconds it worked as advertised, and wasn't bad for the 20-30 seconds when just the soundbar worked, went back to the store and bought a brand new one with price match got home and the same exact problem. The 2 bars had a mfg date of Jan 2015, but at the store the floor model (which worked flawlessly) was made in Dec 2014, maybe its the batch that is broken so buyer beware.

    The soundbar works perfectly. My subwoofer connects and disconnects perfectly as well, but I couldn't feel any type of vibrations from the subwoofer. Called LG and tried every troubleshooting method, still nothing happened.

    Faulty Bass

    The bass blew after only 5 months of ownership. We are not young kids that turned up the volume either. Had to buy another system. We chose the Bose Cinemate system. So far very happy with it. This time we bought a warranty plan.

    Didnt work after 48 hours

    I bought it and it worked fine for about 2 days and then the subwoofer disconnected and refused to re-mate with the soundbar. Called the LG customer support and they told me that it wouldn't pair. Returning it asap. Samsung really is the only way to go

    Easy to set up. However sound quality is tinny. Voices sound garbled. Tried changing settings every which way to no avail. Regardless of what setting I try, it sounds exactly the same. May need to return item. Very disappointed.

    Sub Keeps Cutting Out...all of the time!

    I've had this device for a little over a year or so. I've have to take it back multiple times because the Sub keeps disconnecting, goes to blinking yellow, and you go from a very rich sound to mid and high range only for about 5 seconds. Then it reconnects and it's find for about 10 seconds, then it happens again. This has happened with multiple devices. All sound is coming out of my Optical from my TV. I have an Xbox, AppleTV, and regular TV. It happens to all inputs.
