very difficult to use. depending on app you have to use touch screen or just remote. not worth the frustration. battery only last a very short time.

Everyone here was either paid, or doesnt actually know what they are talking about. I bought this because it was “touchscreen”. Come to find out LG OS is garbage and like 90% if apps that are available on their OS are not optimized for touch, so you gotta use the control instead. DO NOT BUY! Apolosign has an even bugger monitor (32inch) and is $100 cheaper. Android OS too. Yea dont get this, it was trash.

The battery doesn’t stay charged 3 hrs it only stay charged about an hr

The 27" LG StanbyME is a nice little touchscreen smart TV that fills an interesting niche due to its transportability and rechargeable battery. Out-of-the-box experience was fairly simple with two sets of hands unpacking and moving the device. The stand has a very sleek design, and has excellent functionality. Adjusting the display rotation between landscape and portrait, display tilt, and display height all worked seamlessly. I was initially hesitant at first to use the mobile cradle to attach my smartphone to the display's bezel out of fear that it would drop, but it held my phone securely without issue. The wheels under the stand base are low profile enough where they don't draw attention, but were able to glide over my hardwood floors with ease. Picture quality is solid: the contrast ratio allows for deep blacks and bright whites, and color accuracy is on-point. In a world where 4k/UHD is becoming the norm, the 1080p/FHD screen does the job just fine, but the lower resolution was apparent when viewing from a short distance. The internal speakers are able to get surprisingly loud for their size. The EQ on some of the audio profile presets sounded a little flat, but the AI sound mode really brought the audio to life. Connecting to a bluetooth speaker was simple, and after figuring out the audio synchronization, the setup sounded even better. The Stanbyme comes preloaded with many of the most popular streaming apps. The touchscreen is fairly responsive and helps the on-screen keyboard feel less tedious compared to typing via remote control. Navigating around the WebOS interface felt sluggish at times with frequent short loading times between menus, and the onboard web browser felt like an afterthought. This isn't a huge drawback, however, as the apps ran well one they launched, and the device-to-device screen mirroring filled any shortcomings the onboard OS lacks. The screen mirroring in combination with the flexibility and portability of the stand are what help this product shine. Whether it was acting as an extra computer monitor off to the side of my desk, a portable smart TV that was wheeled outside, or an extension of my smartphone to enhance video calls, this device packs in a lot of versatility into a simple little product.

This lasted about 6 months now it will only work while plugged. The battery will not charge

This was a great idea from LG. This is my second product from LG, I’d never tried their stuff before. I’m really happy with the build quality and functionality on both devices, I’ll be looking at their offerings in the future when I’m shopping. The first thing I noticed when the screen was delivered was how heavy the box was. This has some real grown-up heft. When you unpack the giant non-recyclable Styrofoam blocks that it’s packed in (it’s 2023, seriously), there are 3 large pieces- the round heavy base with wheels and the battery, the mounting pole, and the screen itself. Assembly is a breeze with 4 screws to securely hold the pole on the base and a quick snap on mount with a power plug inside for the mounting of the screen to the pole. I think unpacking and assembly may have taken all of 10 minutes without me rushing. There are a couple of protective plastic sheets on the pole that you peel off, and you’re ready to go. The heavy base holds the battery and has 5 rubber wheels that make rolling over smooth floors and low pile carpets a breeze. On my wall-to-wall carpeted areas it has more resistance, but still rolls well. The height and side to side adjustment are great, we rolled the TV up to the dining room table sideways and can watch and use the screen easily while it floats over the table. I’m not big on TV in the bedroom, but this feels like it would be great for that as well. On to using it… If you’re familiar with Android or iOS phones or tablets, this will look very familiar and intuitive with a grid layout and touch functionality. At first when I powered up the unit, there seemed to be a bit of lag and a roughness to it’s responses to inputs, but after it was running about 15 minutes it seemed to catch up with itself and became smoother if not lightning fast. Interacting with the interface is simple and familiar, it really just acts just like a gigantic smartphone with installable apps for streaming services and other functionality :) The app store selection had everything I normally use and tons more to choose from. The remote seems well made and is inutuitive to use, it has a few dedicated app buttons for Netflix, Amazon Video, and Disney+. Picture quality is outstanding indoors and outdoors. The screen can get really bright and has a smoothing algorithm not nearly as offensive as those from other manufacturers I’ve used, This screen doesn’t give me the “soap opera effect” which makes viewing rather uncomfortable for me. I really like the available picture setting for outdoors/bright sunlight, it works well watching on the back porch. The speakers are nice and loud with good sound, especially considering they don’t have a lot of space to work with in the slim screen unit. I reckon the Dolby mentions on the labeling might have something to do with the sound quality. The battery has a claimed lifespan of 3 hours according to LG. I had it set up at 50% brightness and about 40% volume to test the battery life, and at 3 hours it claimed 19% remaining charge, not too shabby. I wonder if the runtime will get better after the battery cycles a few times. I did not keep track of how long it took to charge, though, but that brings up my main complaint about this unit. LG had this large, heavy base to work with when they built this guy, why is there a power brick? The transformer should be integrated into the base so it does not need the overly complex cord that has one more power brick to mess with. This feels like it wants to act like an appliance in your home, so a straight cord to the outlet would have been more convenient. Heck, take a page out of old vacuum cleaner design and put a cord in it that retracts back into the base? Despite the strange name and bulky power cord, a fun and flexible interactive screen on a mobile stick turns out to be pretty cool. I’m sure I’m going to find more uses for it as time goes forward.

Not a touchscreen TV. It has a critical bug and stalls with time setup screen. LG should fix the bugs

Who knew what I was missing out on without this LG Standby ME Lifestyle Screen. I’ve been researching display screen monitors to use with my laptop for quite some time, hoping to find the right one. I’m so glad I waited and didn’t rush to get one because this is true perfection of a screen. It offers everything I was looking for plus many many more. This screen really does stand by me whenever I am. It gives me access to what I need. The stand is on wheels so it’s very easy to move room to room even into the family room which has carpets, moving it was smooth and easy. This is very steady too. I have a two-story home and needed help bringing it up the stairs. Because it’s steady, the base makes it heavy but I rather have than a flimsy unsafe one. I am loving it for so many reasons. I used it as a screen extension with my laptop while I work. It’s also been helpful to me as I study for my class. I have the class on this screen so it’s large and keeps my attention, while at the same time, I’m using my laptop to take notes. It makes it easier for me because I have my laptop screen plus this screen and it makes it easier to multitask on items which has been saving me time. I enjoy trying new recipes and this makes it so easy,I just roll the stand into the kitchen and prep along with my favorite youtube cook. I set it up on my own which took me about ½ hour to do. Once you open the heavy box, there's a QR code that scans into the video instructions. I reviewed the video and written instructions thoroughly before starting. Important to read the instructions and not get rid of the box and foam that came with it as you will need this to connect the base with the stand. After putting it together, I created an LG account, downloaded app and it was good to go. It comes with a remote and you can also control it by touch screen. It uses wifi, USB or HDMI. It looks very elegant, I would say. It fits nicely with the home decor. It also comes with a clip that attaches to different areas on the frame so you put the cell phone there when streaming. That’s a nice feature but I wish they included something similar to hold the remote so it could always be kept with the stand. It includes a battery that lasts for 2:30-3 hours. They say 3 hours but I find usually about 2 ½ it’s ready to be charged again. You can also leave it plugged in while using it but the instructions recommend not leaving it plugged in at all times to help the battery life. I’m looking forward to the warm weather as I can see us taking it on the deck on a nice summer day. This is so great and easy to use. I can screenshare from my Android or from my laptop. Or I can use it alone as a screen. It comes with some standard apps, like Netflix, Disney+, Prime, Hulu, Youtube, etc. So with those apps on the screen you just sign into your account and watch. It also offers LG channels, which was a nice surprise that offers some common shows, exercise and recipes, sports updates, music. I’m just amazed that there is so much extra that comes along with this. Of course, it’s flexible, you can use it in portrait or landscape mode and it tilts and moves easily. This the product that you don’t know you need until you get it and see how easy it makes life.

LG has made a great portable screen that makes it easy to enjoy content from anywhere in your house. The stand is relatively easy to move from room to room, without worrying about tipping it over due to the heavy weight of the base. While it moved effortlessly on wood and tile, it was not as agile on carpet, which required much more force to position the device. Setup was also relatively simple: just scan the QR code found inside the box and follow the instructions on the installation video. In less than 20 minutes, you will have it ready to go, though there were some moments that were more difficult than others. Thankfully, the LG StanbyME also comes with printed instructions for both assembly and disassembly of the unit. I really appreciated that the box itself is used to make the installation process easier, and overall, it wasn't too complicated to put this piece together. The build quality of this device is absolutely great. All of the materials feel high quality and sturdy, giving me the impression that this mobile screen is built to last. The screen itself easily rotates horizontally and vertically, so you can watch content of all types. Additionally, the height of the screen can also be adjusted to ensure the perfect viewing angle. Not only is the stand and the screen beautiful, but it’s both functional and well thought out. Once it is together, connecting to the internet and using it is easy. You are able to control media with the included remote, or via the touchscreen. The picture on the 27” HD screen is beautiful, even though it is not 4K resolution. That being said, it looks good with content from streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+, which all have apps built into the StanbyME. The built-in speakers sound good but are not spectacular, which is probably to be expected. The apps update extremely fast, and I love that it allows you to share content directly from your Apple devices. I was impressed that this unit works so seamlessly with Apple products. That being said, I did not test it with Android devices, so I cannot speak to the functionality with that operating system. The StanbyME charges relatively quickly and lets me use the device unplugged for a few hours. So far I have been using this device to watch shows while I work out, and it is perfect for this task. In the future, I suspect that LG could improve upon this design by upgrading the screen to 4K, with perhaps a higher refresh rate as well. Other than that, I would not change anything about the current version of this model. The LG StanbyME is an awesome piece of technology that can be used in various ways based on each individual user. It provides the utility of a touchscreen television, with the convenience of a mobile piece of hardware that can go anywhere in your home. After using it for a while, it is clear that LG has created a unique device that is not only fun, but functional as well.

This remote tv is awesome. Picture quality is fantastic. Easy to move. Wish the charge lasted longer but overall it’s been a great purchase. Highly recommend.

Better than we even thought it would be. Assembly is super easy, so much so, I was worried I’d missed something. I assembled before Christmas and my hubby was delighted. So fun to have it wherever you want. Now everyone wants to use it. Also, looks very sleek and blends in well to surroundings. Don’t hesitate! It’s like having a giant iPad that can move wherever you’d like.

We love the LG StanbyME! The mobile tv/mega tablet is attractive, functional, and easy for most anyone to move around easily and smoothly. It has enhanced our daily lifestyle and we highly recommend. I wish they had a place to store the remote on the stand but otherwise, it's aces for our needs.

This TV is fantastic. It is portable, stylish, and the ideal size for my family. I play music with this TV since the sound bar is really high quality. In addition to using YouTube videos, the TV offers a ton of LG workout videos which I love!

This is amazing and fun and practical. I don't know why people complain about the battery because it lasts what it should (like a computer) and you can continue using it while is connected to the power and charging so I wouldn't be discourage because of that. Is not my main tv but is perfect for the living room of my small apartment so I would totally recommend. I would suggest buying the speaker because the sound is not too great but is 27' so I was expecting that.
