Brokedown in 2 months! ThinQ app = Bad!

Have warranty repairman here now for second time. "Compressor is not working" and "error communicating with the motherboard" - now checking to see if it is the communication error causing the compressor not to work (no). And compressor isn't working and has leaked a bunch of oil into the pan, now on my floor. SMH. Service plans to order parts (again) and sounds like it is a big haul to get LG to replace. There should be an easy path to replacement this early on in ownership. I'm not complaining about the repair team, they have been very prompt and thorough - just think the bump to LG to replace should be obvious and easy at this point. Thankfully we have a 30 yo Maytag in the basement to use in meantime. Other Issues: the display on this fridge shows you only what you have set the temperature, too, not the ACTUAL temp. Perhaps would have noticed an issue sooner if it had the actual temp and/or warning? ThinQ App: Now have 3 ThinQ appliances. It's not very intuitive or helpful. For this refrigerator I thought the app would show the actual temp, since not on the display. It does not. Also thought I'd be able to use the app to control the door chime, which kicks in after maybe 15 seconds non-stop. But no, I have to close and open the doors multiple times to keep it from incessantly chiming when I need more than one item (now a moot issue). The chime kicks in fast, after maybe 15 seconds and there is not an option anywhere to pause it or delay it if needed. These two things should be the first available on the app, but I found nothing useful there - not even the communication about the breakdown. In summary: Refrigerator display and chimes poorly thought out. Mechanics questionable given huge issue 2 months in, and app has not been worth the time I've spent on it. Worst part is I chose LG after a huge review of brands, believing it to be one of the best on the market, I have not found them to live up to the reputation.

Disappointed in water/ice dispenser

I exchanged it for a second exact model and it did the same thing, so finally exchanged for a different model.
