Inexpensive player but it locks up intermittently

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This player was the cheaper option and does contain some of the basic apps for accessing things like Netflix and Amazon Prime but I have yet to see any additional apps become available. (Disney+ please?) There have been a number of times it locks up while trying to stream Netflix, or the video gets really jittery. Once it locks, it no longer responds to commands from the remote and you have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to start working again. This happens probably once or twice a week and is very annoying.

Okay if it continues to work properly

no HDMI cord

There are some wireless options but you still have to connect to TV. The box contains the player, remote & power cord. That's it! When you read the instructions to connect the HDMI cord it is not included- no missing, not included. Right back in the box it went- not buying something and then having to make an additional purchase- shame on you Best Buy!! Got my last one on Amazon- and everything I needed was included. Returned.

And not with Apple either. I’m unable to add my own apps. I should have researched it more but it does work great, no issues.

Brand New, but never worked

It never worked and would not respond to signals from the remote. Batteries for remote were not the problem. Probably had a defective circuit board/computer. It took way to long for Best Buy to refund, but appreciated the free return shipping. They also did not inquire whether I wanted a refund or replacement. Replaced this later with a Sony product.

Decent but bad experience with my Blu ray player.

Cannot easily find any additional troubleshooting help or contact on the device.

The player wouldn't be turned off by remoted control after an USB is used with gif files, and must be un-pluged to turn off. I am not comfortable with problems mentioned, and wish that this unit at least will last a few years for its cost

I have to unplug the unit to make sure it is off. That is a HUGE nuisance. I wish now that I had gone to the trouble of returning it.

No help getting it hooked up
