Bought for my daughter for Christmas. She loved it. She can stream with it, (comes with free Netflix for 3 months) She's loves that she can play both DVD and blu ray. Crisp. Remote included of course. Price wasn't bad for what it is.

I've been searching for an affordable and reliable blu-ray player that could play 1080p blu-ray discs and standard DVD's without any hassle, and this one so far has been very easy to setup and use. The picture and audio quality are great. Even standard DVD's play in a noticeably higher quality on this player than they did on my previous DVD player. Just as a note, an hdmi cable is not included with this player and you'll need to buy one separately.

I found this Blu-ray perfect for my needs, I needed a 2nd one for a bedroom and wasn't expecting much since I got it because it was one of the cheapest offered. I was surprised how it playback better than my much more expensive Blu-ray switched them and put it in the living room because it was a better picture than my Panasonic. It plays my Blu-ray's, DVD's, and CD's great. It was extremely easy to set up and we start watching movies within minutes. I would highly recommend this player and would buy again!

This Blu-Ray/DVD player has been such a great purchase so far! From having a green light that actually tells you when the player is on (which our old Samsung did NOT have), to the interactive menu, to the ease of the remote control's use, I've been incredibly pleased. The two minor issues I would bring to people's attention is that sometimes when you fast forward or rewind certain discs, the audio takes about five seconds to kick in, though this might be a set-up issue on my end which I'll have to look into. Also, the remote is a little bit on the small side and the buttons and their labels, while marked better than past remotes I've had, are kind of small, so potential buyers who are visually-challenged might take that into consideration.

Not a tech person, so needed a simple, no frills blu ray DVD player to upgrade my older DVD player which was not a blu ray one. We don’t watch movies often, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on one. Read other reviews and decided to try it. So far it works great. Nice upgrade quality wise and easy to use. We have had it for months now and so far no issues. We did have to purchase a different cable to upgrade to this DVD player, but it was under $10.00 for us because we have don’t have a high tech tv. Didn’t give it five stars because of the length of time we have had it- it hasn’t been even 6 months yet,etc. Otherwise currently happy with this purchase.

This is a nice unit from LG. The size was a lot smaller that I thought. I am able to play video and music through the USB. Connecting with a wire vs wireless was not a problem for me. The case is made of plastic so you really can't put something heavy on it. The remote is kind of small but functional. Plays my Blu-ray and DVD without any issues. If you have a home NAS you should be able to play video and music from it although it may be slow and buffering can occur. Same thing with Youtube. But overall, a good buy.

I'll make this quick... this thing is: simple & easy to use, its really small & compact, it works great and has nice clear picture, AND its cheap what more can you ask for?

This LG Blu-ray DVD player is everything you need in a small package. I purchased this player in order to view rental blu-ray videos. I am not disappointed. It was easy to set up: attach the HDMI cable and plug it in. It has streaming capability that would require an additional attachment. The small controller is easy to use and you can download the LG AV app and control the player with your smart phone. If you are looking for a basic no nonsense video player that is reasonabley priced, consider the LG Model 175.

I finally used the new item after having it here for 3 weeks. Still haven’t read anything that came with it but did the installation pretty effortlessly as soon as I arrived home with it, and then a few nights ago, did some of the finer level set-up myself and happily watched one of my old DVDs...my all-time favorite movie. The remote is a little bit annoying but I’ll get used to it of course. It’s excellent value for the cost.

Purchased for use in a motor home with limited space. I didn't need the top-of-the-line unit for this application, just the basics to watch movies on rainy days, and this little machine has not disappointed. It was simple to set up and operate and plays all the formats we need. Sound and video quality are quite acceptable for this price point, and it's durable enough to have survived a few thousand miles of bumpy Michigan roads. Looking forward to many more.

Small, lightweight, reasonably responsive to commands, and most importantly, provides excellent picture and sound quality on both DVD and Blu-Ray discs. As the world heads towards a future full of more and more streaming services, legacy players like this are getting more difficult to find, especially at the reasonable price of this LG. So far, so good -- zero complaints!

This LG blu-ray player is very easy to setup and use. We love the compact design and it fits right underneath our flat screen tv. The picture quality is excellent for the price and that is exactly what we were looking for. The ability to play both DVDs and Blu-ray Discs without breaking the bank. The remote is has all of the controls you will need although we are going to simply with a universal remote in the future. Excellent quality purchase.

After reading the box and the owners manual, I still was not sure if this unit has the DLNA feature, which allows it to play videos stored on the hard drive on your home network. I know that the Sony unit which is directly competing to it does not. Still not sure, I bought it on spec to test it. I was pleased to find that it does, despite the owners manual not saying that it does. The owners manual says that you have to use proprietary LG software for file sharing, but the manual is WRONG. At least, with Windows 10 DNLA works out-of-the-box without downloading and installing any additional software. The manual and box should make this clear without having to guess. On the other hand, it does not have as many streaming video apps as the competition, but it does have the necessary ones: Netflix and Hulu, as well as others. But if one wants a multitude of apps, add a Roku Stick. The Roku Stick, on the other hand, cannot add DLNA to a Blu-ray player missing that feature. It is also smaller than its competitor from Korea, if space is important

This is a great little DVD/Blu-ray player. I went in looking for a DVD player, but was so glad the salesperson told me the DVD format is being phased out. No wonder I was having trouble finding one. I wanted something simple and this is it: basically plug and play. I got it at s good price because it was a return. The only drawback is that you have a tv remote and a player remote, but I can deal with that.

Nice small compact Blu-ray player. Easy to setup, nice remote, and performs well. It replace an HD DVD player that skewed the picture sides on my LG tv.

This blu-ray player works good, great picture quality and runs fast and smooth. Easy to set up and light weight. Fits well with my entertainment stand, great size. You will have to purchase an HDMI cord to connect the blu-ray player to your TV, it won't work without it. Overall great product, good price and I'm pleased.

What I needed was a cd player for my TV room and for a reasonable price got a player that plays my CDs but also plays Blue-ray DVDs. It can also stream various services but needs to have a wired connection to your router to do so. The unit is very small and totally inconspicuous next to my smart TV and the included remote works just fine.

The construction is a little flimsy, but it works. Less one star because the provided power supply is 110V only instead of 110-220V. This item was bought to use in France, and I had to purchase separately another 220V power supply. Its small size makes it perfect if you travel with it and DVDs and Blu-Rays purchased in the U.S. Less one star because there is no native WiFi connection, so I have to connect the device to a WiFi extender with an Ethernet connector for software upgrades. I use internet apps offered on TV sets. Tried to connect a USB hard drive NTFS formatted, but it was not recognized; hopefully works better with a USB key, but I did not test it. Bought a TV in France and connected the player with a HDMI cable (not provided), and I got a perfect picture from my DVDs purchased in the U.S., which was the intended use.
