No dice. It didn't work. So I did some research about why. It turns out it's something to do with the way they talk to each other. My projector is an older high end NEC that was used in the corporate world and the LG Blu-ray player doesn't recognize it. So I use it with my 65" Samsung TV in my family room and it works great. The picture is beautiful. Don't be fooled by the price.

LG Blu-ray for Grand Dad!

I wanted something that was easy to use. Now Grand Dad can ply his old DVD of rock groups but, also watch the new movies. He is taking Tai Chi classes and I got him a new DVD on Tai Chi to help him.

Solid little Blu-ray player

I can only speak to the Blu-ray playback on this unit as I haven't used the Streaming Features ( I use my Roku for that). I have played a couple of movies on it and they did fine, the menus are responsive and the disc load fairly quick. I do like that it has wired ethernet, I prefer that over wireless in most cases.

This one came on time and in good condition. Set up was easy and intuitive. Just have your WiFi password handy and the password to any app you may have. I plug an old set of computer speakers into the headphone Jack and get great sound. Extremely pleased and I will likely order another one for another room
