Nice little DVD player

The player came with some pros and cons. Very simple to install and set up. Good video playback. Load time is not fast, but still acceptable. It’s a nice looking unit with a compact footprint. A name brand blu ray player under $50 is a rarity. When the player is switched off, the TV screen goes solid white which I’m not a fan of. The power plug is kind of long from side to side (wider than my power strip) so getting it to fit in the narrow space behind my TV cabinet was a bit of a challenge. But the reason I decided to return this unit is because I could hear the drive running in the background when watching movie disks. I don’t have good hearing either, so the player was a bit too noisy for my liking.

Unfortunately, the unit kept freezing up on me and I'd have to reset it by unplugging the actual unit (I wasn't even able to turn the unit off by the manual power button). An app is required to operate Netflix from this unit, and that is frustrating for someone who doesn't need any more apps bogging up their phone. I even found getting a disc to play wasn't seamless on this unit. I realize I may have had a defective unit, but I wasn't willing to try a new one in case I would again be disappointed.
